Here we have a 1996 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra for sale. This is a two owner Cobra that has just over 14K original miles on it. It comes with the SVT paperwork along with the original window sticker. The '96 Mustang was the first year for the Aluminum DOHC 4.6L that upped the ante to 305HP and 300Lb/ft of torque. It welcomed the Modern Mustang to the stage that sent its competitors to the drawing board in a frenzy! This beautiful Mustang will make an excellent addition to any collection or a great start for any modern muscle car lover! When you walk around it there's no denying that it's a stunning car. It features the Cobra domed hood to clear the new 4.6L V8. It also had the rear bumper, spoiler and taillights redesigned. These were only offered in 4 colors and the one we have for you is done in the Laser Red. It sports a ton of shine and has been polished to a mirror finish that's stunning. It covers a solid body that has near perfect fit of all the panels. We can see the gaps are all even and symmetrical and that the body lines flow flawlessly front to rear. All the seals are in great condition and every piece of glass is just as nice as the day it rolled off the showroom floor. We can also see that the taillights and headlights are all in excellent condition as well. To finish off the stance it's sitting on a set of 17” Wheels with new Tires.
Next, we will look at the interior of this '96. On the inside it features the Black color scheme that flows perfectly with the Laser Red. It has leather seats with buckets up front. They are all in excellent condition with only some light aging showing on the driver seat. All the door panels are in equally nice, and it comes with power windows and power door locks. You'll also notice it's equipped with the 460 Mach sound system along with having the CD player option. Looking at the dash you'll notice that it's in phenomenal condition with no breaks or cracks. All the gauges are in great condition and are working as they should. It has the factory steering wheel with the Cruise Control Option. The center console is near perfect and houses the Five Speed Shifter. All the carpet and headliner are equally nice and still have a near perfect fit.
Finally, we will get to the driveline of this Ford. Under the hood it's all in excellent condition from the inner fenders to the firewall. It's clear that is has been stored out of the weather and been meticulously cared for. The power comes from the Aluminum 4.6L DOHC Modular Engine. These engines put to bed the 5.0L from the previous years and became widely loved in a short period of time. It's mated to the 5 Speed Manual Transmission and factory rear end. On the highway it performs as desired and handles with ease as Ford also redesigned the rack and pinon system for this year. Keeping you safe it features Four Wheel Disc Brakes with 13” up front and nearly 12” out back. When you look under this Mustang it's clear that it has never been abused as all the frame and floors are rock solid with no signs of damage.
