Ford Mustang 1965

General description : If you want to create a world class resto-mod, there are a few simple rules to follow. For starters, base your build around a popular model. Keep the paint scheme memorable, the wheels tasteful and make sure to dial in the stance. And for best results, throw in plenty of power, a capable chassis and a tailored interior that's comprised of carefully chosen materials. It's much more difficult than it sounds, but this exceptional Mustang adheres to that formula for an outcome that's nothing short of spectacular. Mixing five liters of rowdy Coyote mod motor with a tough 6-speed, custom leather upholstery, and sophisticated Grigio Ingrid skin, virtually no piece of this awesome drop-top was left unimproved. And if you're ready to rule the road and stop the show, it's the killer classic your heart desires!
FIRST-GEN FORMS
Spending most of its life as a well-maintained coupe that was enjoyed by just one family, this striking Mustang resto-mod is the beneficiary of a detailed, ground-up restoration that was perfected in late 2020 by the pros at Orlando, Florida's Revology. That fully documented, six-figure reboot reflects beauty in the form of rich Grigio Ingrid two-stage, which originally debuted on modern Ferraris to pay homage to Swedish actress Ingrid Bergman. And that storied pigment looks especially fetching under soft Black cloth and a roster of tailored details. At the front of the car, a traditional chrome bumper guards modern headlights, a Shelby-style grille and traditional parking lamps. Behind that bumper, a timeless profile centers LED-lit door handles, between polished bullet mirrors and a power-operated top. A stainless-trimmed greenhouse follows polished wipers and a Shelby-style hood that's secured with low-profile pins. And at the back of the car, a second chrome bumper guards an ornate fuel filler, bright LED taillights and a GT-style valance that's finished with LED reverse lamps.
PERFECTING PERFORMANCE
Hoist this drop-top's lightweight hood and you'll find an even five liters of buttery Ford Coyote motor that twists an easy 460 horsepower into miles of pavement scorching torque! Behind that mean mill, a slick hydraulic clutch kicks a tough Tremec T56 Magnum XL 6-speed, which turns a smooth 10-bolt axle. That proven drivetrain pushes a sturdy Torque Arm rear-clip that's garnished with a tubular Panhard Bar and RideTech coil-over-shocks. Opposite that clip, a Mustang II-style front-half follows a big sway bar with tubular control arms and more RideTech coil-overs. Naturally, that kit is led by power rack-and-pinion steering. At the corners, power assisted Wilwood calipers squeeze 20 pistons around vented and slotted rotors. Exhaust is handled by large stainless pipes that snake through deep Borla S-Type mufflers and small resonators. Power rolls through Shelby-style spokes, which spin 245/40ZR17 Michelin Pilot Sports. And every one of this Ford's details, from its tubular cross braces to its tubular subframe connectors, has been carefully planned and professionally executed.
TIMELESS STYLE
Pop the doors and you'll find a lovingly customized interior that's both attractive and well-rounded. Reimagined buckets join a factory bench under plush leather trim that's ready for weekend adventures. A tasteful factory dash hangs a full suite of Dakota Digital VHX telemetry between pushbutton ignition, controls for modern air conditioning and modern, direct-fit audio that features Bluetooth capability. LED-lit carpet floats color-keyed floor mats between dressed pedals and a custom console that's finished with stainless cupholders and a short shifter. Customized side panels frame crisp quarter speakers behind convenient power door locks and trick power windows. The driver spins a polished and leather-wrapped steering wheel around a modern, tilting column. And the passengers store essentials in a power-operated trunk.
Well-built, fully detailed and attention grabbing in every way, this Mustang finds the perfect midpoint between show and go. And, created in adherence to the basic tenants of resto-modding, you can rest assured that its appeal won't fade with time. Ready to bring home one of the coolest drop-tops in our showroom? About Ford
Ford, founded in 1902, has arguably changed the history of automotive world more than any other car manufacturer by introducing the first people's car Model T in 1908. They had produced more than 15 million cars by the end of the production in 1927, by which T had become obsolete.

Ford launched the first low priced V8 engine powered car in 1932. 1932 V8 was an instant hit with superior handling and performance to many far more expansive cars of the day. No wonder 32 V8 Ford has become such a favourite among hot rodders around the world with 32 Deuce coupe as their icon.

During the war Ford completely shut down civilian vehicle production to dedicate all its resources to the Allied war efforts (1942-45) They used to build B-24 bombers, aircraft engines, jeeps, M-4 tanks, military trucks and Bren-gun carriers and more than 30,000 super-charged Rolls Royce Merlin V-12 engines for Mosquito and Lancaster bombers as well as P-51 Mustang fighters. After the war Ford cars in the USA got bigger and flashier along with their competitors. In the 60's Ford was back in the forefront again when introducing their commercial hit Mustang in 1964. Mustang was so popular the competition had to follow Ford's example and the ponycar phenomenon took over the US. Over the years the ponies grew some muscles until the oil crisis kill finally killed them off.

In the sixties Ford rushed into international motor sports scene with a fury. After unsuccessful Ferrari takeover, when Enzo Ferrari had cut the deal off with Henry Ford II making the latter absolutely boil with fury, Ford turned to Lola in UK to produce a Ferrari beating long distance racer after. The collaboration between Ford and Lola created the mighty Ford GT40 that absolutely beat Ferrari in Le Mans 24 numerous times.

In Europe, Ford introduced some of the most epic race and rally cars of the 60's based on humble family sedans; Cortina GT, Lotus Cortina, Escort Twin Cam, and Escort 1600RS with the iconic Cosworth BDA engines.

Today classic Fords are extremely popular with enthusiasts and a great selection of classic Fords can be found for sale at www.ClassicDigest.com
