Award Winning Boss 429
Numbers Matching Engine
Fully Documented Original

LMC is very proud to offer for sale this 1969 Ford Mustang Boss 429.

The story of how the BOSS 429 was created has been told many times over. The legend of the BOSS 429 is almost bigger and more impressive than the car itself. Only 859 BOSS 429s were built in 1969 but ask any Mustang or muscle car enthusiast what the ultimate Mustang would be and they will undoubtedly say the BOSS 429. Clean, functional and aggressive styling matched the car's performance and reputation and the monster sized motor under the large hood scoop are the elements that made it so famous and legendary. All the same elements that make these cars so sought after as collectibles today garnering some of the highest values of any Mustang ever produced.

This 1969 Boss 429 was built at Ford’s Dearborn Assembly Plant, went on to Kar Kraft to be completed by hand and finished May 6, 1969. It has had the benefit of being rotisserie restored by an MCA Gold Card Judge. The car is complete with its numbers matching 429/375HP engine, numbers matching Borg Warner T-10 Toploader transmission and Ford 9 inch “V” code 3.91 traction lok rear axle. This Boss Nine came with a multitude of factory options that include; power front disc brakes, power steering, interior Décor Group-Deluxe, AM radio, deluxe belts/warning light, color keyed racing mirrors, competition suspension, and the functional front air spoiler. This Mustang was painted from factory in Black Jade, 1 of only 162 ’69 Boss 429s to be so, and still dawns that color today.

This highly collectible and documented Boss has benefited from a complete nut and bolt rotisserie restoration. Great attention to detail was applied to the top side, underhood and especially the undercarriage. Under close inspection one can see the floors are finished in the factory style bach primer with blacked out pinch welds and body color over spray. Also, one will notice the factory style chalk markings, paint dabs and stickers are present.

Accompanying the Mustang is a slew of documents and paperwork. These documents include; the original owner’s manual, original Boss 429 brochure, original dealer invoice, Marti Report, a letter from Ford decoding the VIN and a Ford Recall Notice from 1977. Several awards from an All-Mustang Round Up and an MCA Mustang Show are also present, and further proves how wonderful this Boss 429 truly is.

This 1969 Ford Mustang Boss 429 an extremely rare and desirable Boss, and certainly should be classified as one of the ultimate Mustangs ever produced. If you are looking for an award winning, rotisserie restored, numbers matching Boss 429, you will be hard pressed to find one like this.

About Ford
Ford, founded in 1902, has arguably changed the history of automotive world more than any other car manufacturer by introducing the first people's car Model T in 1908. They had produced more than 15 million cars by the end of the production in 1927, by which T had become obsolete.

Ford launched the first low priced V8 engine powered car in 1932. 1932 V8 was an instant hit with superior handling and performance to many far more expansive cars of the day. No wonder 32 V8 Ford has become such a favourite among hot rodders around the world with 32 Deuce coupe as their icon.

During the war Ford completely shut down civilian vehicle production to dedicate all its resources to the Allied war efforts (1942-45) They used to build B-24 bombers, aircraft engines, jeeps, M-4 tanks, military trucks and Bren-gun carriers and more than 30,000 super-charged Rolls Royce Merlin V-12 engines for Mosquito and Lancaster bombers as well as P-51 Mustang fighters. After the war Ford cars in the USA got bigger and flashier along with their competitors. In the 60's Ford was back in the forefront again when introducing their commercial hit Mustang in 1964. Mustang was so popular the competition had to follow Ford's example and the ponycar phenomenon took over the US. Over the years the ponies grew some muscles until the oil crisis kill finally killed them off.

In the sixties Ford rushed into international motor sports scene with a fury. After unsuccessful Ferrari takeover, when Enzo Ferrari had cut the deal off with Henry Ford II making the latter absolutely boil with fury, Ford turned to Lola in UK to produce a Ferrari beating long distance racer after. The collaboration between Ford and Lola created the mighty Ford GT40 that absolutely beat Ferrari in Le Mans 24 numerous times.

In Europe, Ford introduced some of the most epic race and rally cars of the 60's based on humble family sedans; Cortina GT, Lotus Cortina, Escort Twin Cam, and Escort 1600RS with the iconic Cosworth BDA engines.

Today classic Fords are extremely popular with enthusiasts and a great selection of classic Fords can be found for sale at www.ClassicDigest.com
