Ford Fordor 1935

General description : REAL NICE SEDAN WITH ALL THE OPTIONS! STEEL BODY W/ GREAT LINES & VERY STRAIGHT!

In a world overpopulated with the same hi-boy roadsters, this sleek 1935 Ford 4-door sedan definitely stands out. Not only does it dare to be different, but it's expertly finished and ready to cruise. Sure, it's got a back seat, but with a small block Chevy and plenty of creature comforts, nobody will complain about the drive.
Smoothing the body and drenching it in brilliant Audi silver paint totally transforms the utilitarian Ford sedan. The most notable change is the removal of the bumpers, and up front it makes for a dramatic look as the grille wraps around the bottom of the fenders, a detail that's usually hidden. The door handles were also removed, the hood sides are custom-made, and the roof was filled and now carries a big sunroof that's a pretty cool touch. It's all steel except the fenders, and smaller headlights help with the sleek, low-profile look. A subtle pinstripe runs the length of the body and isn't over-done, letting the original body moldings speak for themselves. In back, the trunk lid was filled and smoothed, the license plate was faired into the bodywork, and original-style taillights now carry LED bulbs inside. If you don't like the way this Ford looks, there's something wrong with your eyes, because it's gorgeous on every level.
Inside, this Ford retains all of its 4-door sedan practicality with plenty of modern conveniences and comfort. Bucket seats from a late-model Buick replace the original bench, but they look like they were born there. Handsome gray fabric upholstery is tasteful and ties in with the neatly tailored door panels and custom center console. A billet panel for the VDO gauges puts everything ahead of the driver and the emphasis on keeping everything looking OEM means that you'll feel comfortable the minute you slide behind the wheel. The list of features is extensive, including a tilt wheel with leather steering wheel, A/C, a Pioneer AM/FM/CD/iPod/Bluetooth stereo, power windows and locks, and the aforementioned sunroof overhead. The back seat area is spacious for two and will fit three in a pinch, and includes seatbelts all around so bring the family without a second thought. The upholstery remains in great condition and don't let the lighting fool you, it's quite clean and neat inside, ready to go!
To make that cruising easy and fun, a 327 cubic inch Chevrolet V8 was tucked under the Ford's hood. It's got a great look, with a custom-fitted firewall seeming to wrap around the engine and those black finned valve covers. A few polished aluminum pieces accentuate the monochromatic engine bay and the workmanship is quite good, so you shouldn't hesitate to hit the road. It starts easily with a small block bark from the stainless exhaust system, and even here you get all the proper upgrades: power rack-and-pinion steering, a Mustang II independent front suspension, disc brakes, and big sway bars front and rear that make it a decent handler as well. A TH350 3-speed automatic transmission is always on duty and feeds a Ford 9-inch rear end, making for a nearly bulletproof drivetrain. That's a 17-gallon stainless gas tank out back for bladder-bursting range, and it rides smoothly on tallish radials designed for comfort.
Fords aren't unusual rods, but you don't see many '35 4-door sedans, and certainly not many built to this level. No-compromises fun make this one a hit everywhere it goes. Call now!

About Ford
Ford, founded in 1902, has arguably changed the history of automotive world more than any other car manufacturer by introducing the first people's car Model T in 1908. They had produced more than 15 million cars by the end of the production in 1927, by which T had become obsolete.

Ford launched the first low priced V8 engine powered car in 1932. 1932 V8 was an instant hit with superior handling and performance to many far more expansive cars of the day. No wonder 32 V8 Ford has become such a favourite among hot rodders around the world with 32 Deuce coupe as their icon.

During the war Ford completely shut down civilian vehicle production to dedicate all its resources to the Allied war efforts (1942-45) They used to build B-24 bombers, aircraft engines, jeeps, M-4 tanks, military trucks and Bren-gun carriers and more than 30,000 super-charged Rolls Royce Merlin V-12 engines for Mosquito and Lancaster bombers as well as P-51 Mustang fighters. After the war Ford cars in the USA got bigger and flashier along with their competitors. In the 60's Ford was back in the forefront again when introducing their commercial hit Mustang in 1964. Mustang was so popular the competition had to follow Ford's example and the ponycar phenomenon took over the US. Over the years the ponies grew some muscles until the oil crisis kill finally killed them off.

In the sixties Ford rushed into international motor sports scene with a fury. After unsuccessful Ferrari takeover, when Enzo Ferrari had cut the deal off with Henry Ford II making the latter absolutely boil with fury, Ford turned to Lola in UK to produce a Ferrari beating long distance racer after. The collaboration between Ford and Lola created the mighty Ford GT40 that absolutely beat Ferrari in Le Mans 24 numerous times.

In Europe, Ford introduced some of the most epic race and rally cars of the 60's based on humble family sedans; Cortina GT, Lotus Cortina, Escort Twin Cam, and Escort 1600RS with the iconic Cosworth BDA engines.
