Ford Roadster Freshly Rebuilt 350 V8 1929

General description : 1929 Ford Pickup The Model T proved to be one of the most successful mass produced vehicles and when 1927 arrived Ford needed to continue that legacy.  He did this with the Model A and by February of 1929 1 million units had been sold.  If that doesn't impress and show their popularity then how about the fact it would only take 5 short months for that number to double to an astounding 2 million units.  These cars would later go on to be one of the "go-to" classics for the hotrodding and custom car world.  This nice Model A is the Roadster Pick Up body style and has been turned into a very cool little street rod.  It has an original Ford steel body and bed but the fenders/running boards are fiberglass.  It is painted in a nice two tone Orange and White paint that is in good condition.  The White accents the upper part of the cab, the windshield frame, and the inside of the bed.  The bed also has a wood floor and the fuel tank is mounted underneath.  The front glass is in good shape and the White canvas top bolts into the frame and snaps in place around back along the body.  It has the standard style chrome headlights with radiator grill and headlight bar.  The lights are all working properly.  The truck rides on nice painted to match steel wheels with dog dish hupcaps.  White is also incorporated into the 3 line White wall tires and it has cheater slicks in the back. The truck runs without a hood/side panels to show off the freshly rebuilt 350 V8 motor.  It does come with an already painted steel hood but will need additional hardware to be used.  The motor runs great and is fitted with a new 4 barrel carburetor, Edelbrock intake, finned valve covers, a matching finned air cleaner, a chrome alternator and a MSD distributor.  Keeping it cool is an aftermarket radiator with electric pull fan.  It has a great sound through dual headers into dual exhaust that exits out of both sides in front of the back fenders.  The transmission is a freshly rebuilt Turbo 350 that sends power back to the 10 bolt rear.  It is set up to cruise around town and down the highway so the gearing is likely in the 3.23 range.  The suspension system has been upgraded with a Mustang II style independent front with disc brakes and coil springs.  In rear it now has a 4 link with adjustable coil overs.      The interior is complete in an Orange and White combo to nicely match up with the exterior.  It has a bench seat with pleated upholstery and Black lap belts for both driver and passenger.  A t-handle shifter is mounted through the floor and it also has billet pedals in place.  The dash is all painted and topped of with white face Auto Meter gauges which also includes a tachometer.  There is a new AM/FM/AUX/USB stereo system on the dash but it needs to be wired up with speakers to be operable.  A tilt column sits in front of the driver and is fitted with a chrome 3 spoke leather wrapped steering wheel. This is a nice classic Roadster that is being offered up at a very reasonable price.  It comes with a good clear title and it is titled as a 1929 Ford.    Make it yours for $18,000.00!

About Ford
Ford, founded in 1902, has arguably changed the history of automotive world more than any other car manufacturer by introducing the first people's car Model T in 1908. They had produced more than 15 million cars by the end of the production in 1927, by which T had become obsolete.

Ford launched the first low priced V8 engine powered car in 1932. 1932 V8 was an instant hit with superior handling and performance to many far more expansive cars of the day. No wonder 32 V8 Ford has become such a favourite among hot rodders around the world with 32 Deuce coupe as their icon.

During the war Ford completely shut down civilian vehicle production to dedicate all its resources to the Allied war efforts (1942-45) They used to build B-24 bombers, aircraft engines, jeeps, M-4 tanks, military trucks and Bren-gun carriers and more than 30,000 super-charged Rolls Royce Merlin V-12 engines for Mosquito and Lancaster bombers as well as P-51 Mustang fighters. After the war Ford cars in the USA got bigger and flashier along with their competitors. In the 60's Ford was back in the forefront again when introducing their commercial hit Mustang in 1964. Mustang was so popular the competition had to follow Ford's example and the ponycar phenomenon took over the US. Over the years the ponies grew some muscles until the oil crisis kill finally killed them off.

In the sixties Ford rushed into international motor sports scene with a fury. After unsuccessful Ferrari takeover, when Enzo Ferrari had cut the deal off with Henry Ford II making the latter absolutely boil with fury, Ford turned to Lola in UK to produce a Ferrari beating long distance racer after. The collaboration between Ford and Lola created the mighty Ford GT40 that absolutely beat Ferrari in Le Mans 24 numerous times.

In Europe, Ford introduced some of the most epic race and rally cars of the 60's based on humble family sedans; Cortina GT, Lotus Cortina, Escort Twin Cam, and Escort 1600RS with the iconic Cosworth BDA engines.
