Ford Victoria 302 CID V8 1932

General description : For sale is a custom 1932 Ford Victoria located in our Indianapolis Showroom. This all steel bodied '32 Ford Vicky is a one of kind, no expense spared build that will not only bring home lots of first place trophies but is intended to be driven. This build started by taking two 1932 steel sedan body halves and reshaping them into a Victoria body shell. This amazing task was tackled by having the top chopped 1" and length shortened 11" to make it a genuine Vicky. They also had the rain gutters removed, filled in vents, reworked the dash, trimmed and rolled the fenders, fitted stock style running boards, and the added in atrunk for storage space. The body was then fitted on a custom frame by Snow White Hot Rod Shop which features a fully detailed box frame with filled and smoothed welds and their well know cross member setup. The body and frame were then painted with a stunning PPG two stage Black Cherry custom mix paint that absolutely pops in the sun. As this Vicky was intended to be driven, the suspension choice was key for a good ride which is why a Jaguar front and rear suspension setup was selected. Up front is a torsion bar suspension donated from a Jaguar XJ6 and out back is an independent rear suspension setup donated from a Jaguar XJE featuring quad coilovers and inboard disc brakes that have all been chromed which has that wow factor. A set of polished and clear coated Budnik Gasser directional wheels were selected to show off the independent suspension and are wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport radials. This 1932 Ford Victoria is powered by rebuilt Ford 302 CID Hi-Po V8 engine, backed by a C4 3-speed automatic transmission, and running to a Jaguar rear end with 3.70 gears with 4,032 miles on the build. The engine features a forged crank, rods and .030 over pistons, all from Ford. The ported Ford heads produce 9.5 to 1 compression and with help from a Ford Performance hydraulic roller cam and lifters this combination puts out around 300 horsepower. Sitting on top is a custom intake manifold that provides a home for a quartet of Weber 40 IDF carburetors with a pair of custom air cleaner assemblies. A set of custom stainless steel headers and Ford Racing valve covers finish off the clean appearance under the hood. The interior is just as impressive as the rest of the '32 Vicky which features a taupe leather interior covering the seats, door and kick panels, headliner, and trunk area. The tilt column was sourced from an early Chevelle and painted to match the interior along with the Budnik steering wheel. An enlarged dash opening houses a set of Autometer "Golden Oldies" street rod gauges. The audio system is nicely hidden throughout the interior and a Vintage Air A/C system was put in to keep you as cool as this Vicky is. A slick feature on this Vicky are the four power windows with 15 degree AutoLoc controllers operated by a push of the stock window handles. Options on this 1932 Ford Victoria for sale include: Air Conditioning, AM/FM Radio with CD Changer, Power Brakes, Power Windows, Tilt Wheel, Seat Belts, Leather Interior, Aluminum Alloy Wheels, and Performance Radial Tires. If you are looking to set the bar in your local car show scene, this '32 Ford Vicky is it! About Ford
Ford, founded in 1902, has arguably changed the history of automotive world more than any other car manufacturer by introducing the first people's car Model T in 1908. They had produced more than 15 million cars by the end of the production in 1927, by which T had become obsolete.

Ford launched the first low priced V8 engine powered car in 1932. 1932 V8 was an instant hit with superior handling and performance to many far more expansive cars of the day. No wonder 32 V8 Ford has become such a favourite among hot rodders around the world with 32 Deuce coupe as their icon.

During the war Ford completely shut down civilian vehicle production to dedicate all its resources to the Allied war efforts (1942-45) They used to build B-24 bombers, aircraft engines, jeeps, M-4 tanks, military trucks and Bren-gun carriers and more than 30,000 super-charged Rolls Royce Merlin V-12 engines for Mosquito and Lancaster bombers as well as P-51 Mustang fighters. After the war Ford cars in the USA got bigger and flashier along with their competitors. In the 60's Ford was back in the forefront again when introducing their commercial hit Mustang in 1964. Mustang was so popular the competition had to follow Ford's example and the ponycar phenomenon took over the US. Over the years the ponies grew some muscles until the oil crisis kill finally killed them off.

In the sixties Ford rushed into international motor sports scene with a fury. After unsuccessful Ferrari takeover, when Enzo Ferrari had cut the deal off with Henry Ford II making the latter absolutely boil with fury, Ford turned to Lola in UK to produce a Ferrari beating long distance racer after. The collaboration between Ford and Lola created the mighty Ford GT40 that absolutely beat Ferrari in Le Mans 24 numerous times.

In Europe, Ford introduced some of the most epic race and rally cars of the 60's based on humble family sedans; Cortina GT, Lotus Cortina, Escort Twin Cam, and Escort 1600RS with the iconic Cosworth BDA engines.

Today classic Fords are extremely popular with enthusiasts and a great selection of classic Fords can be found for sale at www.ClassicDigest.com
