GMC Sprint 350 V8 Crate 1971

General description : Description
A strong crate V8, A/C interior, four-wheel disc brakes, and so much more make this an outstanding classic. And when you can get it in the more distinct 1971 GMC Sprint packaging, you know you have an all-around winner.
The GMC Sprint was a great way to get the look of an El Camino in a more distinct and truck-ready badge. Not only are they a rarer sight today, but also 1971 was the first year for the Sprint name. But it's not just history that makes this one grab attention. There was a solid investment in this GMC with nice body panels, bright chrome bumpers, and a distinctive deep green metallic paint. And speaking of the paint, even the bed was done in a deep green protective liner paint. There's a great upgraded look with the full silver sport stripe package that also coordinates with the silver lower section. This was all clear coated over to give it a good look of quality. Plus, those SS-style stripes also go with the upgraded sporty look with the power bulge of the cowl hood, hood pins, SS grille, large dual exhaust tips, and Rally wheels.
Just like the El Camino, the Sprint shares a lot of Chevelle DNA inside. So the seat, dash, carpeting, and door panels all benefit from having comfortable car-like roots. And the presentation shows they invested time and money to make this look clean and comfortable. It's a driver's environment that starts with the wood-rimed sports steering wheel mounted on a tilt column. It gives you an excellent view of the sporty round gauge cluster that even includes a tach. The rest of the dash is oriented around the driver, and so it's an easy reach to some nice features. This includes a retro-style AM/FM digital tuner stereo and the factory air conditioning controls now blow cold with R134a refrigerant.
Under the hood is a younger crate V8. This 350 cubic-inch motor is a strong runner that features four-barrel carburetor and a glasspack-style dual exhaust. The V8 fires up nicely and the three-speed automatic transmission with shift kit shifts smoothly and confidently, so you know this is an upgraded GMC that's made for hitting the road. In fact, this is built to be a solid all-around driver. That's why you have power steering, modern cruising tires, and the superior stopping power of four-wheel power disc brakes.
This is the distinctive Sprint that already has all the features you want. An all-around stunner like this is always desirable, so don't miss your opportunity. Call now!

About GMC
Did you ever mistake a Chevy pick up for GMC? No wonder as those have been virtually identical apart from the grill and logo since the 20's.
The difference is Chevrolet trucks were marketed towards private users, while GMC was intended for commercial use, so it's more about market segmentation than anything else.
