Der Jaguar 120 hatte den Leistungshunger bei den Sportwagen geschürt. So kam im Herbst 1954 die Weiterentwicklung XK 140 auf den Markt. Viele Detailänderungen machten das Cabriolet weniger puristisch und noch beliebter.
Unser Jaguar XK 140 DHC wurde in den USA ausgeliefert. Der heutige Eigentümer gab eine Vollrestauration in Auftrag. Der Firma Lynx wurde der Oldtimer mit "matching numbers" behutsam bis ins Detail restauriert. Heute ist der Jaguar XK 140 als Cabriolet die gesuchteste Variante der XK-Baureihe.
