General description :
The last "real" Jaguar, before Ford took over, the XJ40, built between 1986 and 1995. Jaguar had something to make up for. The rusty 70s had impacted it's image negatively. So XJ40 was a program that saw a lot of research and development money go in before the car was launched. Jaguar just wanted to get this right. Ford added to this as they wanted to get it double right.
We found this Jaguar in Spain with an astonishing low mileage of 35,536 kilometers or around 22,200 miles. This has been documented by the maintenance records and the Spanish MOT forms that come with this vehicle. The already superb state of the Jaguar we found it in has been brought up to the level that can only be labeled with words like 'pristine' and 'immaculate'. The suspension has been upgraded to the bullet proof conventional system in stead of the less reliable leveling system the car came with.
A Jaguar in this condition is only found at the factory. Therefore the price is very well in balance with the quality of the vehicle. The XJ40 seems to increasingly get the credits it deserves looking from the selling prices over the par three years. In this condition' "hard to find" would be an understatement indeed.
