Description : Gateway Classic Cars is delighted to present this Stylish 1970 Lincoln Continental Mark III represented by our Ft Lauderdale Showroom. The Continental Mark III is a personal luxury car, that was marketed by the Lincoln division of Ford Motor Company, from the 1969 through 1971 model years. The Mark III was marketed as the flagship vehicle of Ford Motor Company, serving as a successor to the 1956-1957 Continental Mark II. In what would become a three-decade rivalry, the Mark III was developed as a direct competitor to the Cadillac Eldorado, after its shift to the personal luxury coupe segment in 1967. All examples of the Mark III were produced as two-door hardtop coupes.
The 1970 model was the first American-made vehicle, with the superior radial tire design, as standard equipment. To distinguish itself from the Thunderbird (and from the Lincoln Continental), the Mark III was given model-specific design elements, including hidden headlamps (with body-color covers), a radiator-style grille, and a simulated spare tire on the trunk-lid. This elegant 1970 Lincoln Continental Mark III presented by our Ft Lauderdale Showroom, is in a classy Brown color exterior paint paired to a Cream color interior. Under the hood, is a potent 460 CID 7.5 Liter V8 Engine mated to a 3-speed (C-6) Transmission . Other options include: Power Steering, Power Brakes, Power Windows, Power Seats, Seat Belts, Air Conditioning, Spare Tire, Am/Fm Radio, Chrome Wheel Covers and White Wall Radial Tires.

About Lincoln
Lincoln, often regarded as more than just an upmarket Ford, has carved its own niche in the automotive world with a rich history and a lineup of distinctive models. Let's take a stroll down the memory lane of Lincoln's story.

Early Beginnings:

Founded in 1917 by Henry Leland, the man behind the Cadillac brand, Lincoln initially started as a luxury automobile company. The brand quickly gained a reputation for its quality craftsmanship and attention to detail.

The Ford Era:

In 1922, Lincoln was acquired by the Ford Motor Company, and this marked the beginning of a long association. Ford aimed to position Lincoln as its luxury division, competing with other prestigious brands in the market.

Classic Models:

Over the years, Lincoln introduced several iconic models that left a lasting impact on the automotive landscape:

Lincoln Continental: Launched in the 1940s, the Continental became an instant classic. Its elegant design and iconic suicide doors made it a symbol of luxury and sophistication.
Lincoln Town Car: Introduced in the 1980s, the Town Car became synonymous with chauffeur-driven luxury. Its spacious interior and smooth ride made it a favorite among executives and dignitaries.
Lincoln Navigator: The late '90s saw the rise of the SUV craze, and Lincoln was quick to respond with the Navigator. A full-size luxury SUV, the Navigator combined opulence with utility and became a popular choice among affluent families.
