Lincoln Continental Mark IV 460 CID V8 1974

General description : For sale in our Fort Lauderdale showroom we have one 1974 Lincoln Mark IV, that you must see to believe. At first view this car looks like is was recently restored. But in this case, this is not true. The Lincoln remains in fantastic original condition. The paint has a thickness of around 40-95um, which confirms it was never repainted. Also, this will tell us something else. The body has never had any problems with corrosion. No rust holes filled up with body filler and covered up with a new coat of paint. This is the real deal here. A true survivor in excellent condition. The story tells that the car was home in Oregon until 2 years ago when it was sold to Florida. We here at Gateway Classic Cars in South Florida are thrilled that we have the honor to feature this car for sale now. The Germans have Mercedes Benz and BMW. The Americans call Cadillac and Lincoln their own. For generations the competition is on who builds more luxury and comfortable cars. After driving this Lincoln, the big question has been finally answered: USA – USA – USA!!! It is just a pleasure to drive down the road in Lincoln. The interior is extra clean, and it feels like you are sitting/driving on grandma’s sofa and the world is just passing by. The monstrous 460ci V8 engine has enough muscle to take you where you need to go. Fully loaded this Mark 4 is ready to go the extra mile. A great example of a 1974 Lincoln Mark4 and you probably won’t find another one like this. Especially in black on black. The odometer shows just over 30k miles and it is highly believed that this is the actual mileage. A great piece of American history that would look good in any car garage or collection. Don’t wait too long to call us. Clean cars like this won’t last long. Let it ride!!! To see 100+ HD pictures and a video of this 1974 Lincoln Mark 4, please visit gatewayclassiccars.com. About Lincoln
Lincoln, often regarded as more than just an upmarket Ford, has carved its own niche in the automotive world with a rich history and a lineup of distinctive models. Let's take a stroll down the memory lane of Lincoln's story.

Early Beginnings:

Founded in 1917 by Henry Leland, the man behind the Cadillac brand, Lincoln initially started as a luxury automobile company. The brand quickly gained a reputation for its quality craftsmanship and attention to detail.

The Ford Era:

In 1922, Lincoln was acquired by the Ford Motor Company, and this marked the beginning of a long association. Ford aimed to position Lincoln as its luxury division, competing with other prestigious brands in the market.

Classic Models:

Over the years, Lincoln introduced several iconic models that left a lasting impact on the automotive landscape:

Lincoln Continental: Launched in the 1940s, the Continental became an instant classic. Its elegant design and iconic suicide doors made it a symbol of luxury and sophistication.
Lincoln Town Car: Introduced in the 1980s, the Town Car became synonymous with chauffeur-driven luxury. Its spacious interior and smooth ride made it a favorite among executives and dignitaries.
Lincoln Navigator: The late '90s saw the rise of the SUV craze, and Lincoln was quick to respond with the Navigator. A full-size luxury SUV, the Navigator combined opulence with utility and became a popular choice among affluent families.
