Lincoln Continental Mark VI 351 V8 1980

General description : Description
This 1980 Lincoln Continental Mark VI is a highly original survivor of an interesting and rare luxury machine. So it's quite noteworthy to find a budget price on a loaded fuel-injected V8 classic.
The Mark VI represents one of the most interesting times at Lincoln. It was only time a sedan version of the Mark series was ever offered, and this lasted only a short few years. It may have been sold alongside the Lincoln Town car that year, but this had exclusive sporty touches like the hidden headlights, louvered fenders, opera windows, and hallmark Continental kit style rear. This sedan was also considerably more expensive than the Town Car, and so the numbers were always rarer. This example is in a true survivor state where the low price leaves room in the budget for upgrading the paint, polishing the chrome, and restoring some functions, like the headlight covers. But we already like this car because it's a solid and complete classic that retains all of its detail-oriented looks. So these something quite distinct about having a weathered but luxurious appearance.
Detail-oriented means things like how the red pinstripe of the exterior is a preview of the full red interior. It's hard not to be impressed by the well-presented vintage luxury inside. After all, the red velour seats remain bright, and they have the kind of cushy feeling you'd love to have in a sofa. There's even a new headliner. Full-sized luxury means you can choose to seat six or fold down the armrests in both rows to give four people the individual comfort you expect from the Mark-series. As a true Lincoln, this is loaded with features like cruise control, power locks, power windows, the original AM/FM/cassette premium stereo, and provisions for factory air condition (will need servicing.) Your seat power adjusts to the ideal position, and you have a tilt steering column to ensure your experience behind the wheel is a true Lincoln-level sensation.
This is a premium Ford product from the '80s, and so you know there's a 5.0-liter V8 under the hood. It has an honest presentation that looks exceptionally original. It's a factory fuel-injected car that even received a recent tune-up. So this fires up and runs with the smoothness and consistency you expect from an FI machine. While the Five-Oh motor was earning a street-eating reputation in the Mustang, this is quite a different setup. It utilizes its powerful and torquey heart in a more refined way. So no rumbling burnouts here, but you do get to be the first to pull away for the stoplight any time you want. Plus, it has power steering, front disc brakes, and a four-speed automatic transmission with highway-friendly overdrive. So it's the kind of classic luxury that can still easily take you in comfort on the long road trips.
This is believed to be a one-owner survivor, and the sale even comes with the owner's manual. So this is your opportunity at an interesting piece of Lincoln history a value price. Call today!!!

About Lincoln
Lincoln, often regarded as more than just an upmarket Ford, has carved its own niche in the automotive world with a rich history and a lineup of distinctive models. Let's take a stroll down the memory lane of Lincoln's story.

Early Beginnings:

Founded in 1917 by Henry Leland, the man behind the Cadillac brand, Lincoln initially started as a luxury automobile company. The brand quickly gained a reputation for its quality craftsmanship and attention to detail.

The Ford Era:

In 1922, Lincoln was acquired by the Ford Motor Company, and this marked the beginning of a long association. Ford aimed to position Lincoln as its luxury division, competing with other prestigious brands in the market.

Classic Models:

Over the years, Lincoln introduced several iconic models that left a lasting impact on the automotive landscape:

Lincoln Continental: Launched in the 1940s, the Continental became an instant classic. Its elegant design and iconic suicide doors made it a symbol of luxury and sophistication.
Lincoln Town Car: Introduced in the 1980s, the Town Car became synonymous with chauffeur-driven luxury. Its spacious interior and smooth ride made it a favorite among executives and dignitaries.
Lincoln Navigator: The late '90s saw the rise of the SUV craze, and Lincoln was quick to respond with the Navigator. A full-size luxury SUV, the Navigator combined opulence with utility and became a popular choice among affluent families.
