Description : Gateway Classic Cars of Houston is excited to present this gorgeous blue 1948 Lincoln Continental Series 876H Convertible for sale. This beautiful vintage Series 876H convertible came pretty loaded from the factory and has aged extremely well for a car that's over 70 years old and is still ready to drive! Powered by what is believed to be its original 292 CID V12 and 3-speed manual transmission, it still floats down the road like the executive's car that it was designed to be - powerful, smooth, and stately. This car was lovingly restored by World Wide Classics, who did all of the paint, chrome and the interior. Speaking of chrome, it's adorned with plenty of the gleaming stuff...it's sure to bring back fond memories for anyone who was around when this car was still fairly new. The blue metallic paint is in very good condition, and glistens in the sun. The dog dish hubcaps gleam, and the side skirts and Continental Kit add extra panache to this glorious ride.

Inside, you will find the red leather upholstery is abundant, and the red carpet looks great. This big Lincoln also sports some very cool door releases: both the exterior and interior units are push-button operated. The power windows are operated by a couple similarly styled toggle-action buttons on the driver's and passenger's doors. The big clock in the dash looks awesome, and it can certainly be refurbished to operate like it did when it was new. You'll be sure to appreciate the nostalgic feeling that sitting in the pilot's seat will provide. So, what are you waiting for - get in, start it up, drop the automatic convertible top, and slip it into gear. You'll relish the commanding view down the long hood, with the wide, graceful front fenders low in the sight lines. You'll also appreciate the smooth ride that the Coker wide whitewall radial tires provide. Big, bold, and beautiful, this '48 Lincoln will be sure to get the thumbs-up from everyone around you on the road; so be sure not to wait to make your move on it!

Additional features and options on this 1948 Lincoln Continental Series 876H include 12-volt conversion, AM Radio (not working, but repairable), Automatic Convertible Top, Leather Interior, Power Windows, Radial Tires, Seat Belts, Spare tire and tire jack.

About Lincoln
Lincoln, often regarded as more than just an upmarket Ford, has carved its own niche in the automotive world with a rich history and a lineup of distinctive models. Let's take a stroll down the memory lane of Lincoln's story.

Early Beginnings:

Founded in 1917 by Henry Leland, the man behind the Cadillac brand, Lincoln initially started as a luxury automobile company. The brand quickly gained a reputation for its quality craftsmanship and attention to detail.

The Ford Era:

In 1922, Lincoln was acquired by the Ford Motor Company, and this marked the beginning of a long association. Ford aimed to position Lincoln as its luxury division, competing with other prestigious brands in the market.

Classic Models:

Over the years, Lincoln introduced several iconic models that left a lasting impact on the automotive landscape:

Lincoln Continental: Launched in the 1940s, the Continental became an instant classic. Its elegant design and iconic suicide doors made it a symbol of luxury and sophistication.
Lincoln Town Car: Introduced in the 1980s, the Town Car became synonymous with chauffeur-driven luxury. Its spacious interior and smooth ride made it a favorite among executives and dignitaries.
Lincoln Navigator: The late '90s saw the rise of the SUV craze, and Lincoln was quick to respond with the Navigator. A full-size luxury SUV, the Navigator combined opulence with utility and became a popular choice among affluent families.
