MotoeXotica Classic Cars is pleased to present this handsome and rarely seen 1960 Lincoln Continental Town Car. One really had to be on the top rung of the social ladder to even own one of these! This is a truly sixties icon classic, the caring previous owner even kept a personal mileage and gas logbook! . Finished in a dramatic deep Presidential black paint job shows extremely well with only minor imperfections visible upon close inspection. Both the front and rear bumpers fit nicely and compliment the body. The vehicle’s top is a rare Hess and Eisenhardt padded vinyl top. Paint and body shows extremely well with no visible evidence of repair or damage that we could find.
The Lincoln Motor Company(also known simply asLincoln) is a division of the Ford Motor Companythat sells luxury vehiclesunder the Lincoln brand. In a radical change from 1957 Lincolns, the chassis was of unibodyconstruction. Sharing a body with the Continental marque, the 1958€“1960 Lincolns would become some of the largest production vehicles ever built; they are the longest Lincolns produced without 5-mph bumpers. They are the longest-wheelbase cars ever produced by Ford Motor Company. For the 1958 model year, a number of changes were made to Lincoln. Along with the integration of Edselto form the Mercury-Edsel-Lincoln (M-E-L) division, production of all Lincoln and Continental vehicles was shifted to an all new assembly plant.. Showcasing the new assembly plant was a redesigned product lineup. The new V-8 430 cu. in. Ford MEL engine was used in all Lincolns. In 1959, the Town Car name made its first appearance. A formal-roof sedan, it was available only in black.
The interior continues the theme of the exterior with the tan/beige leather front split bench seats and rear bench seat and all look great with no major signs of wear visible… still wrapped in plastic protective covers to protect these rare original seats! The door panels and dashboard are designed to match the exterior of the car and look fantastic.
This 1 of 136 Lincoln Town Cars built in 1960 features a 430 cu in. 315 hp V8 with a HP 3-speed automatic transmission, factory air conditioning, windshield wipers inoperable, power steering , power brakes, power seats, power windows, power door locks and even dual power antennas! This extremely good looking and well equipped Continental will delight even the most discerning early classic car collector or enthusiast.
Believed to be one of only five known to exist, these Lincolns are becoming increasingly hard to find in such solid well kept condition. GET OUT AND DRIVE!!!
Current mileage on the odometer shows 43,753, it is sold as is and is mileage exempt. The car is being sold on a clean & clear title.

About Lincoln
Lincoln, often regarded as more than just an upmarket Ford, has carved its own niche in the automotive world with a rich history and a lineup of distinctive models. Let's take a stroll down the memory lane of Lincoln's story.

Early Beginnings:

Founded in 1917 by Henry Leland, the man behind the Cadillac brand, Lincoln initially started as a luxury automobile company. The brand quickly gained a reputation for its quality craftsmanship and attention to detail.

The Ford Era:

In 1922, Lincoln was acquired by the Ford Motor Company, and this marked the beginning of a long association. Ford aimed to position Lincoln as its luxury division, competing with other prestigious brands in the market.

Classic Models:

Over the years, Lincoln introduced several iconic models that left a lasting impact on the automotive landscape:

Lincoln Continental: Launched in the 1940s, the Continental became an instant classic. Its elegant design and iconic suicide doors made it a symbol of luxury and sophistication.
Lincoln Town Car: Introduced in the 1980s, the Town Car became synonymous with chauffeur-driven luxury. Its spacious interior and smooth ride made it a favorite among executives and dignitaries.
Lincoln Navigator: The late '90s saw the rise of the SUV craze, and Lincoln was quick to respond with the Navigator. A full-size luxury SUV, the Navigator combined opulence with utility and became a popular choice among affluent families.
