Description : Gateway Classic Cars of St. Louis is proud to present this 1988 Lincoln Town Car Signature! When they say they don’t make them like they used to, this is one of the prime examples that comes to mind.

The seats are more comfortable than most couches and lavishly appointed with an array of fully functional power equipment. The interior matches the exterior wearing a classy shade of Beige. The odometer shows 11,513 with the last odometer reporting on the CarFax at the end of 2019 at 10,822 miles.

Viewing under the hood everything seems to be mostly original and in place. The engine is a 5.0 EFI paired up to an automatic transmission. The vehicle also has air conditioning, heat, an aftermarket radio ( original in the trunk ), power windows, power seats, a Quartz clock, and a power antenna. There is also a tilt column for convenient ingress and egress.

The headliner is taut and looks great. The carpeting and interior have no major flaws or stains.

The undercarriage looks believably original with the exception of the exhaust. Stickers are present on the exhaust – indicating the system has been replaced. This is very common for low mile survivor cars as condensation sits in the exhaust they often rot from within. The floor plans look clean, and only the uncoated metals show surface rust. Factory markings are still visible on many of the components.

This beauty won 1st place in the 2021 Mid-America Old Time Automobile Association, and under excellent care, owner claims this car has never been exposed to road salt.

About Lincoln
Lincoln, often regarded as more than just an upmarket Ford, has carved its own niche in the automotive world with a rich history and a lineup of distinctive models. Let's take a stroll down the memory lane of Lincoln's story.

Early Beginnings:

Founded in 1917 by Henry Leland, the man behind the Cadillac brand, Lincoln initially started as a luxury automobile company. The brand quickly gained a reputation for its quality craftsmanship and attention to detail.

The Ford Era:

In 1922, Lincoln was acquired by the Ford Motor Company, and this marked the beginning of a long association. Ford aimed to position Lincoln as its luxury division, competing with other prestigious brands in the market.

Classic Models:

Over the years, Lincoln introduced several iconic models that left a lasting impact on the automotive landscape:

Lincoln Continental: Launched in the 1940s, the Continental became an instant classic. Its elegant design and iconic suicide doors made it a symbol of luxury and sophistication.
Lincoln Town Car: Introduced in the 1980s, the Town Car became synonymous with chauffeur-driven luxury. Its spacious interior and smooth ride made it a favorite among executives and dignitaries.
Lincoln Navigator: The late '90s saw the rise of the SUV craze, and Lincoln was quick to respond with the Navigator. A full-size luxury SUV, the Navigator combined opulence with utility and became a popular choice among affluent families.
