Mazda RX-7 1.3L Turbocharged 5-Speed Manual $37,995 1993

General description : Here at Gateway Classic Cars of Houston we have this very beautiful 1993 Mazda RX7. If you have never owned an RX7 before I will give you a little history lesson on these wonderful cars. The Japanese Mazda RX7 first debuted in 1978 and the very last year they made them was in 2002. They have always been popular but became very iconic when it made an appearance on the big screen in the movie “The Fast and the Furious”, as Vin Diesels car. After that, everyone wanted to get one. They have slowly become rare cars because a lot of enthusiasts have kept them stored and not sold them. The RX7 is powered by a very unique apparatus. It was a 1.3L 13B-REW Rotary engine with a sequential twin turbo. This one however, is not packing a twin turbo but a much bigger and upgraded Garrett GT30x single ball baring turbo and is pushing 7 pounds of boost. Of course once purchased and a really great tune, it could be cranked up to 25 PSI with the results of 500+ HP. This is not an all original RX7; it has a big list of parts that were added to it down the line. The engine was also rebuilt with a street ported 3mm seal, all new bearings and seals, Reinhard Blast pipe cat back exhaust system. The transmission also has all new seals and bearing, new 5th gear synchro with sliders (no 5th gear grind) new clutch with Steel Braided Clutch lines and a Mishimoto Aluminum radiator. Driver seat has been restored, new speedometer, all plastic interior pieces have been replaced and a new shifter with a Greddy heavy weighted shift knob. The Exterior of the car was redone very beautifully with a new Dodge Viper Black Pearl. The car used to be Dull Silver, but was taken apart for the color change and is slick and straight. You can check out the Car Shop Glow custom LED tail lights in the rear as well as the R1 Chin Spoiler.
