General description :
We have a peach of a 1968 Mercedes Benz 250SE Convertible standing in our showroom now. A convertible version of the W111 with a limited production run of 5,143. An original European factory supplied convertible and as such not a coupe conversion. It has the popular manual gearbox. The nice and solid rust-free body formed an excellent base for the very professional and detailed restoration and mechanical overhaul. Neither cost or effort were a barrier during the restoration! The bodywork is superb and was accident-free when restored, all original panels are present with the front, rear arches and partition wall all being factory parts. The latter gave the 250SE its perfectly straight and aligned body panels and very fine paintwork. It also received a top and bottom re-spray giving a very sharp finish to the car. The interior is also in top order. It was refurbished with new original leather, new carpets as well as the brightwork and woodwork looking as good as new. A new hood with red roof lining completes the picture. The colour combination of the exterior paintwork, the interior trim and hood are truly magnificent. Mechanically it also received all due care and attention and is now in pristine condition. The desirable manual convertible is complete. Every detail in its correct place. A top quality example, if ever! Ready for the next proud owner.
