This 1965 Oldsmobile 442 has the original tinted glass all around, vintage wheels only made from ’64 to ’66, and will bring a great deal of attention where ever you go. Powered by a period correct 400 V8, 4 speed manual transmission, and the original 355 POSI rear end, you will have an absolute blast driving this 1965 Oldsmobile 442. The engine in this car is the first year of the, ‘new’ in 1965, 400 cu. in. big block Oldsmobile. This was the only engine available when buying the L78 optioned “442” car. This engine has ‘correct’ castings, a ‘B’ block with a forged crank #384772, “A’ heads that match the POP card and VIN proving originality to the car. This engine has recently been rebuilt, extensively modernizing the internal components resulting in a 100 HP improvement over the stock 1965 engine. The tri-carburetor option was available in 1965 as a dealer installed option, which makes it applicable to this application. The original intake, AFB 4-barrel carb, and air cleaner are included with the car. This is a rust free central Oregon high desert region classic car that is ready to run anywhere.
