Truly Outstanding 1954 Packard Clipper Deluxe Survivor
New to our Benicia showroom is this beautiful 1954 Packard Clipper Deluxe 4 Door Sedan with Maroon exterior paint and a grey cloth interior.  You’ll find a factory correct 327 flathead straight eight engine under the hood with a three speed overdrive manual transmission and this incredible classic is nearly 100% original from bumper to bumper.  With excellent curb appeal and outstanding ride quality, this is survivor would make an outstanding addition to any collection.
Virtually 100% Original
This 1954 Packard Clipper Deluxe Sedan sold new to a dairy farmer in Ohio- it was originally black in color without the current fender skirts.  They enjoyed this classic for several years before eventually garaging it in 1960, which is where it remained until their death over a decade later.  It then sold at auction to a pair of Ohio Highway Patrol Officers who would occasionally drive it in parades.  A 3rd owner took possession in 1999 and made several improvements, such as repainting it to the current Maroon, which is a Packard correct color and adding the fender skirts, re-coring the radiator, plus rebuilding the water pump, brakes, wheel bearings and exhaust.  The 4th and current owner took possession in 2009 and added leaf springs, an overdrive unit, new brakes, an electric fuel pump,  a coolant overflow, the headlight switch plus rebuilt the carburetor, brake cable and starter solenoid.
In terms of its present condition, this 1954 Packard Clipper Deluxe shows average levels of wear to the exterior paint with a few minor dings and scratches.  To the best of our knowledge, this classic hasn’t been repainted since the late 90’s so the exterior is excellent under the circumstances with impressive chrome and average trim.  The virtually 100% original engine bay is super clean as well and it shows that the major mechanicals have not been restored.  You’ll also find an average quality interior with some minor flaws but nothing that really detracts from this true survivor overall.
Excellent Lifetime History & Superior Ride Quality
Overall, this 1954 Packard Clipper Deluxe 4 Door Sedan is a simply beautiful survivor that doesn’t leave too many question marks since we know its entire 65 year history.  With excellent curb appeal, great overall drive quality and too many other intangibles to list, this is an amazing classic that one lucky collector is going to absolutely fall in love with.  For more information about this vehicle, visit our Benicia, California showroom, give us a call at 707-748-4000, or email us at Sales@SpecialtySales.com.  Be sure to mention Stock # B11533 as well.
