Plymouth Coupe 201 1939

General description : Cruisin Classics has a beautiful classic to offer in the form of a 1939 Plymouth Business Coupe. Just to get it out of the way this is an outstanding automobile. When it is at idle, you can barely hear it. The gorgeous Black paint is almost mirror like and as you look down the side you will notice how straight this car really is. If you are going to have beautiful black paint, you better be straight. This is that in spades. The outside also boasts shiny trim and chrome, classic steel wheels with Plymouth caps and rings, Coker Classics Wide-Whites for tires and to finish it all off is the prettiest chrome grill at the show. The very detailed and purring 201 cubic inch straight 6 is from 1939 (P8 stamped on block), with a single barrel carburetor. The 12-volt conversion is already done for you along with a couple of upgrades like electric fuel pump and electric fans. The split headers trail off to a dual exhaust that leaves you with the most classic sounding automobile on the block. Adding to the wonderful sound and the drivetrain is the manual 3-speed transmission. The long stick shifter is on the floor and very easy to operate with no slamming necessary into any gear. The interior is as you would expect top-notch. The bench seat is very comfortable with easy manual operation. One of the most eye-catching areas inside are the dash and gauges. It looks as new as the day it rolled off the showroom floor. The attention to detail is obvious on the whole vehicle but that dash is really something to admire. Other notables inside are carpet, headliner, storage behind seats (spare behind driver), cloth and mohair, manual steering, manual brakes and a classic Plymouth steering wheel. The trunk has also been carpeted for your convenience. This is a no-brainer for somebody looking for this particular car or for somebody that is looking to purchase a classic that needs absolutely nothing to be on the road today. If you are trying to dip your toes in the Classic Car world without breaking the bank then this is your key to the door.If you have any additional questions, please call one of our friendly sales staff.
