LMC is very proud to offer for sale this 1970 Plymouth Roadrunner Convertible.

Road Runners were one of the most impressive packages to emerge from Detroit during the muscle-car era. Illustrated by the popular Warner Brothers cartoon character, these Plymouths were created not so much to create a stir but to have a vehicle whose price was more in line with the youth market. They had hoped to sell 2,500 in the 1968 debut; instead they sold 52,000. When named "Motor Trend" ‘Car of the Year’ in 1969, Plymouth put over 80,000 more on the street.

This 1970 Plymouth Roadrunner Convertible was produced on October, 6 in the St. Louis Assembly Plant. It was factory built with the 383/335HP 4-BBL High Performance Engine with the 727 TorqueFlite Heavy Duty Automatic Transmission, 1 of only 429 convertibles to have this powertrain combination. The numbers matching 383 engine powers this Roadrunner today. Its factory EV2 Tor Red paint shows nicely and contrasts well with the Black convertible top with Black interior. From factory, this Roadrunner has many options such as; power steering, 3-speed wipers, driver’s side remote racing mirror, the Basic Radio Group, the and Light Package. This car comes complete with its broadcast sheet. This convertible Roadrunner is the ideal Mopar for those who want a good driving car for a weekend cruiser or to attend those Sunday afternoon car shows.

In its high impact Tor Red, desirable “B” body, and with its iconic Roadrunner horn, this Mopar Convertible is a unique opportunity to own one of the great looking and sounding Mopars from the golden years of muscle car for a fraction of the price you would usually pay.
