Here we have a 1970 Plymouth Superbird for sale. One of the most iconic Muscle Cars ever built the Superbird almost feels like a Car of Myth as not everyone has even seen one. With less than 2,000 ever built and easily half of that on the road today we are proud to give you the opportunity to be one of the few to own a try Superbird. It's features the Matching Numbers 440 and 727 Trans. Also, it was the 128th Superbird to be produced. When you walk around it you will notice that the body is in great condition and that all the panels have a great fit along the gaps being very nice as well. It's covered in the Lemon Twist which is the factory color option for it. It's also packaged with the factory V19 Black Vinyl Top Option that compliments the Yellow perfectly. These cars were designed for Nascar with emphasis put on aerodynamics in the wind tunnel and computer data. The result was a iconic design that brought Richard Petty back to Plymouth from Ford. This one even has The Kings Signature on the Front Fender. You can see the wing on this Superbird is in excellent condition and is adorned with the RoadRunner Superbird Decal. To finish the exterior, it's sitting on the stock style wheels with Firestone Wide Oval White Letter Tires.
Next, we will look at the interior of this '70. On the inside it's done in the black with bench seat whish is also the factory option for it. Both the front and rear seats are in excellent condition. Also the door panesl are in great condition as well along with the headliners and carpet. Looking at the dash you'll see that it looks phenomenal and sports the factory Steering Wheel which has the working Beep Beep horn. This is a factory automatic on the column car and all the gauges re in great condition. It's also still got the factory style radio. In the trunk it has the Spare, Jack and Trunk mat.
Finally, we will get to the driveline of this Plymouth. Under the hood it's powered by the Matching Numbers 440 Engine that's set up with the correct 2951736 Intake with a Holley 750 Carb. It's dressed in the stock style valve covers and air cleaner. It has the Fender Tag, radiator support stamping and trunk lip stamping. The 440 V8 is mated to the Matching Numbers 727 Trans that goes out back to the Sure Grip 8 ¾” Rear end with a 3.55 gear. For exhaust it has the correct 2899879 and 2951865 Manifolds with dual pipes and Turbo Mufflers. This Superbird comes with Power Steering and Power Brakes with Disc on the front and Drums on the Rear. When you look under it you will notice it has the factory undercoating and that everything looks to be solid and in great condition.
