Description : Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa is proud to offer this ultra clean, custom 1970 Pontiac Bonneville Convertible. The front and rear styling on full-size Pontiacs was a one year only affair. This makes for an appealing car to make a statement, ensuring you won't see yourself at every car meet! The seller of this lovely 1970 Bonneville convertible acquired this car in Colorado and set to building one of the cleanest big body drop tops on the streets. First your eyes are captured by a rich coat of Mountain green over the original green interior. The roof was replaced with a custom dark green rag top with a glass back window. You can't miss the 'old school' 20" gold wires wrapped in Vogue tires, a great looking set-up! A big cruiser like this, needs grunt to match the show. Fortunately, this big Bonnie packs a healthy, rebuilt 455 under the hood. In combination with the 400 3-speed trans, this big vert has no problem getting down the road, and the custom dual exhaust make sure everyone knows when you're coming and going. The afore mentioned interior is as mint as they come. So much so you'd think the car is new. No dash cracks, or rips in the seats here. A custom center console houses the aftermarket radio controls, so you can bump the thousands of watts of sound with ease. There are custom speakers lining the doors and four 12" woofers in the back. When it comes to sound, this Bonneville BUMPS. The icing on the cake is all the factory power features are in working order. From the power windows, roof, and ice-cold AC. If you want to turn heads with class and style and it must be done in a big way, this awesome 1970 Bonneville convertible is the car for you!

Position in GM Hierarchy:
Distinct Identity: Pontiac occupied a unique place within GM, known for its performance-oriented vehicles and youthful branding.
Mid-Level Brand: Positioned above Chevrolet but below the more upscale divisions such as Oldsmobile, Buick, and Cadillac, Pontiac aimed to offer affordable yet sporty cars.
History and Notable Models:

Iconic Muscle Car: Considered the first true American muscle car, blending performance and style.
Specifications: V8 engines, powerful performance, and aggressive styling made the GTO immensely popular.
Pontiac Firebird (1967-1981):
Muscle Car and Pony Car: Shared the platform with the Chevrolet Camaro, featuring distinct Pontiac styling cues.
Variants: Offered various models and engine options, including the Trans Am, which gained fame through movies like "Smokey and the Bandit."
Pontiac Grand Prix (1962-2008):
Personal Luxury Car: Initially a full-size car, later transformed into a mid-size model, known for its blend of comfort and performance.
Evolution: Over the years, it transitioned from a performance-oriented car to a more luxurious offering.
Pontiac Bonneville (1957-2005):

Impact and Legacy:
Performance Image: Pontiac carved a niche for itself by emphasizing performance, sportiness, and innovation, attracting younger and enthusiast drivers.
Marketing Success: Innovative marketing strategies and successful racing endeavors contributed to Pontiac's popularity and brand image.
Cessation of Production: Unfortunately, due to financial constraints and changes in consumer preferences, GM discontinued the Pontiac brand in 2010, marking the end of its legacy in the automotive industry.
