Description : Gateway Classic Cars St. Louis is proud to present this Rare 1987 Pontiac Trans Am Tojan. If you have never heard of the Tojan before. GM worked with Knudsen Automotive to produce a limited number of special edition Firebird/Trans Ams named the “Tojan". This project was between the years of 1984-1991 producing what is believed and stated by the seller to be 137 Total Tojan made (1 of 137) . The Tojan was only sold through a select group of Pontiac Dealerships in California, New Jersey, Texas, and Florida. Even though it was built off the platform of the Firebird Trans Am, this is not a “kit car". It is a true limited production collector car.

This Tojan has the heart of a Firebird Trans Am but looks like it pulled of the scene of a late 80's Miami Vice style movie. These were made to somewhat compete with high-priced exotics. The goal to make a modified version of the Pontiac Firebird GTA with svelte European styling. This resulted in a upgraded suspension and mildly upgraded 305 V8 engine. Some big upgrades that were given to this Tojan consist of Racaro Racing Black leather seats, Fully custom Fiberglass Wide-body, Compomotive British Racing Aluminum Wheels, 8'' widened axels. So yes the Tojan started as a new 87' Trans Am, but she is clearly not a Trans Am anymore!

The current owner of this vehicle has owned it for 6+ years. Within the last couples months the owner has went through the car to make it ready for the next owner. Over the course of a couple months the seller states he did a “frame-on" type of restoration. Along with that they have put on a new a/c compressor, dryer, belt, and freon. To show how much the owner cared for the car. Within the last month he oiled and silicone all the weatherstripping throughout the car.
If you are looking for a classic daily driver or a weekend cruiser, look no further than this sleek Tojan! Call us today to make it yours!
