Pontiac Firebird Trans Am 1970

General description : Expertly restored in correct Polar White with a vibrant Blue center stripe, bristling with spoilers and scoops and vents, it looks like a racing car, and it moves exactly the way it looks. With its iconic shaker hood scoop, large front air dam, and the famous long nose short tail, the 1970 Pontiac Trans Am is a limited production stand out of the Muscle Car era. Only 3,196 Trans Am made it off the line in 1970 and the example here has been restored back to day one condition.
Styling aside, the Trans Am is a finely tuned performance car that's fun to drive'it talks to you every inch of the way. Sport-tuned suspension and the storied 400ci Ram Air engine were standard fair when ordering a Trans Am, and backing this car is an optional heavy duty automatic transmission and Safe-T-Track-equipped 12-bolt rear axle. 1970 would be the only year the 12-bolt was available in a second-gen Trans Am.
Inside, the 1970 Trans Am was well-appointed for its time, with low-back bucket seats, carried over from the '69 Trans Am, covered in a unique striking bright blue hue, which was toned down for later years, a sports steering wheel, center console, and racing inspired engine-turned dash face. Optional factory Air Conditioning is a welcome addition here as well.
