Description : Gateway Classic Cars Houston showroom is excited to offer this stout Brittany Beige 1972 Pontiac LeMans convertible. This LeMans has PHS docs, the Endura front grille/fascia option, and a binder full of receipts. In addition, it has recently been through a thorough update, with lots of new adds and upgrades. The interior was updated with all new carpeting and seating surfaces, a new convertible top was installed (including new hydraulics), new tires, and it was given a Ram Air conversion, complete with functioning hood with hood tach, 4BBL carb, aluminum intake manifold, new FlowMaster dual exhaust, boxed rear lower control arms, QA1 adjustable coilover shocks, multi-piston Wilwood front calipers, new R134a A/C, new steering column, and a full paint correction treatment to bring the Brittany Beige to its original glory. The stout 350 CID Pontiac V8 was treated to a performance camshaft upgrade, forged pistons, and stainless intake and exhaust valves, so it's a lot peppier than it originally was! Backing that 350 is a smooth-shifting GM TH350 3-speed automatic transmission, which is controlled by the console mount shifter. The sound system received some subtle, yet effective upgrades as well, and now has a Bluetooth audio system, which easily pairs with your Bluetooth device through the controller, which is cleverly installed in the cigarette lighter socket. With the trunk mounted amp and subwoofer, when you crank up your jams, you can feel it! This is a fine example of a 1972 LeMans convertible that has been treated to modern upgrades and features, and it just begs to have the automatic top dropped and taken out for some serious top-down fun cruising!

Position in GM Hierarchy:
Distinct Identity: Pontiac occupied a unique place within GM, known for its performance-oriented vehicles and youthful branding.

Pontiac Grand Prix (1962-2008):
Personal Luxury Car: Initially a full-size car, later transformed into a mid-size model, known for its blend of comfort and performance.

Impact and Legacy:
Performance Image: Pontiac carved a niche for itself by emphasizing performance, sportiness, and innovation, attracting younger and enthusiast drivers.
Marketing Success: Innovative marketing strategies and successful racing endeavors contributed to Pontiac's popularity and brand image.
Cessation of Production: Unfortunately, due to financial constraints and changes in consumer preferences, GM discontinued the Pontiac brand in 2010, marking the end of its legacy in the automotive industry.
