Pontiac Trans Am 5.7L V8 2000

General description : For sale in our Orlando showroom is this 2000 Pontiac Trans Am WS6 that is 1 of 233 produced in 2000. Powered by the 5.7 Liter LS1 V8 that has been making waves since its first introduction in the '97 Corvette and shifted by the T-56 6-speed manual transmission that is known to be quite the bulletproof unit, this vehicle was a potent performer as GM designed it rated at 320 HP. This is a Formula WS6 not to be confused with a Trans Am WS6. This rare car is only 1 of 233 produced in 2000. It is a one-owner purchased new in Orlando and garage kept for its entire life. It runs and drives like brand new as it only has 38,630 original miles. The car will be sold with all the original owner's manual and window sticker. Having only traveled just over 38,630 actual miles on the optional 17-inch-high polished aluminum wheels, this example is almost brand new. Since day 1, this vehicle has been owned by the same adult and has never been abused. Jumping in the driver's seat is more like stepping into a cockpit. Turn the key and request for immediate departure. Throw the shifter into 1st and throw yourself back in the seat with just the blip of the throttle. This future classic is sure to go up in value, as Pontiac is no more, the Trans Am will never be made again, and thus the Formula WS6 has become extinct. Options include: Ram Air Performance and Handling Package, Hurst Shifter, Air-Conditioning, AM/FM/CD, T-top, Cruise Control, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Power Locks, Power Seats, Power Windows, Anti-Lock Brakes, Tilt-Wheel, Keyless Entry, Seat Belts, Drivers/Passenger Airbag, Anti-Theft System, Leather Interior and Alloy Wheels. This 2000 Pontiac Trans Am WS6 is for sale in our Orlando Showroom and can be seen in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD video at http://www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Position in GM Hierarchy:
Distinct Identity: Pontiac occupied a unique place within GM, known for its performance-oriented vehicles and youthful branding.
Mid-Level Brand: Positioned above Chevrolet but below the more upscale divisions such as Oldsmobile, Buick, and Cadillac, Pontiac aimed to offer affordable yet sporty cars.
History and Notable Models:
Pontiac GTO (1964-1974):
Iconic Muscle Car: Considered the first true American muscle car, blending performance and style.
Specifications: V8 engines, powerful performance, and aggressive styling made the GTO immensely popular.
Pontiac Firebird (1967-1981):
Muscle Car and Pony Car: Shared the platform with the Chevrolet Camaro, featuring distinct Pontiac styling cues.
Variants: Offered various models and engine options, including the Trans Am, which gained fame through movies like "Smokey and the Bandit."
Pontiac Grand Prix (1962-2008):
Personal Luxury Car: Initially a full-size car, later transformed into a mid-size model, known for its blend of comfort and performance.
Evolution: Over the years, it transitioned from a performance-oriented car to a more luxurious offering.
Pontiac Bonneville (1957-2005):

Impact and Legacy:
Performance Image: Pontiac carved a niche for itself by emphasizing performance, sportiness, and innovation, attracting younger and enthusiast drivers.
Marketing Success: Innovative marketing strategies and successful racing endeavors contributed to Pontiac's popularity and brand image.
Cessation of Production: Unfortunately, due to financial constraints and changes in consumer preferences, GM discontinued the Pontiac brand in 2010, marking the end of its legacy in the automotive industry.
