Description : Gateway Classic Cars of St. Louis is proud to present this 1981 Pontiac Trans AmTurbo!

We all love the old birds, and this is a very well sorted example. The 4.9-liter turbo was ahead of it's time. Thankfully, this is not a factory example. This is a well-restored example and the turbo system is sorted. The suspension is dialed in and there is very little body roll in the corners. Vintage looking Recaros upgrade the factory upholstery and a custom sound system bring the music to the party. There is a switch mounted on the dash for exhaust cutouts. It is perfectly tame and quiet when closed, but let's you know she is here to party when you open up the cutouts. The odometer has rolled once. The car was garaged from 2006-2010 when it was restored. The odometer at time of restoration read 97,000 miles. The car is only running 9PSI of boost and handles nicely. Sure, it isn't the big block, but it also doesn't weigh what the big 6.6 motor weighs. The handling is noticeably better than other options available, making this car a bit more fun to drive. The power on hand is 100% usable and has a more exhilarating feel than the straight line pull and mid corner plough of a big block. The paint is beautiful and was done properly. During the restoration, the car was taken to bare metal and then resprayed. There is a binder full of receipts and documentation on the build. This one is sorted, proven, and keen for it's new owner.

Marketing Success: Innovative marketing strategies and successful racing endeavors contributed to Pontiac's popularity and brand image.
Cessation of Production: Unfortunately, due to financial constraints and changes in consumer preferences, GM discontinued the Pontiac brand in 2010, marking the end of its legacy in the automotive industry.
