Description : Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa is proud to present this 1987 Pontiac Trans Am GTA. In 1987 The GTA was the top dog in Trans Ams. GTA means "Gran Turismo Americano" and Pontiac made sure the GTA was worthy of the name. Featuring deep dish mesh wheels with polished lips, a specially tuned suspension, and unique paint and decal options, the GTA was a head turner. Originally the GTA was the only way to access the 5.7 liter, Corvette, tuned port V8. This makes original late 80s GTAs very desirable. This black over black 1987 GTA is no longer original, but not features a - seller claimed - 6.0 LS based V8 under the hood. Shifting is handled by a 4L60e 4 speed automatic. The exterior is rust free and shows no indication of any accidents. The interior shows light wear but not tears or rips in the seats and everything is still there. This is a head turning 80s Trans Am with a great modern twist thanks to the 6.0L V8 this car will easily keep up with the the new kids! It's a great updated driver, or the foundation for an all out custom. These things are appreciating in the collector car market and are no longer common. Grab this one before it's too late!
