Description : Gateway Classic Cars of Fort Lauderdale is proud to present this remarkable 1989 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am Turbo.

1989 was a special year for Pontiac, marking 20 years of Trans Am. Two decades of the bird toting f-body Pontiac. To offer something extra special, Pontiac essentially combined a Trans Am GTA, An anniversary commemoration, and an Indy pace car replica- all into one! Traditionally, opting for any Trans Am package meant you're getting a V8 motor under the hood. However, the 20th anniversary Trans Ams threw tradition out the window and were instead packed with a turbo charged, Grand National inspired V6.

Pontiac produced only 1555 Turbo Trans Ams. All of which featured a white exterior and a complimenting camel interior. Quite a sleek look. They were also dressed in the new 20th anniversary and Turbo badging, and sported OFFICIAL PACE CAR decals on the doors. Every Trans Am Turbo was fitted with a 200-4R four-speed automatic transmission with overdrive. A boost gauge was added to the tach, and a larger fuel pump and injectors supply the motor. The Turbo Trans Ams also feature a methanol injection system and Valvetronic exhaust!

This Trans Am has been well maintained and is absolutely stunning! Inside and out. The badging is all there, the paint is clean, and the interior is free of major rips and cracks. In the back you'll find a bag that store the t-tops, a retractable cargo cover, and locking storage compartments. The engine runs smooth and is car is an absolute blast to drive. The surprisingly loud rumble of the V6 and the SWOOSHHH of that Turbo is music to the ears.
