General description : The first vehicle named Porsche was registered on June 8, 1948. It is the Porsche 356/1 Roadster, built in Gmünd (Kärnten / Austria). The Porsche 356 B was produced from 1959 to 1963 as a coupé, convertible/hardtop and roadster in a number of approx. 30,963 units. The 356 B differed from the A model mainly in the use of higher headlights and higher bumpers. Further modifications of the Porsche 356 B were added in the model year 1962 (T6), a bonnet that was significantly widened towards the bottom and the fuel cap in the front right fender. Two vertical air grilles have also been integrated into the enlarged bonnet.
