Porsche 912 1,6 Coupé 1968

General description : Please note the car is in Odense. This is a car that is rarely offered for sale - a very original Porsche 912 1.6 L with 90 HP in the color Bahama Yellow (6805) with virtually a complete history The car was delivered new in Los Angeles USA in 1968 - where the 1st owner had the car from 1968-1983 and 2nd owner from 1983-1985 and a 3rd owner from 1985-1989 - we bought the car here from an elderly gentleman of 83 years in Germany and he had imported it from the USA in 1989 and therefore owned the car ever since - so he has owned the car for the last 34 years - when the car came from the USA he chose to change the interior and paint the car and he also changed the speedometer which read 60935 miles back then in 1989 for a new speedometer in KM - and it now reads 55293 KM. so we therefore have no reason to believe that the car has driven more in the approx. just over 150.000 km in total. The car starts and drives really well. Matching numbers on engine. Matching color. A very nice and rare color combination. A car that must be seen and experienced. About Porsche 912
The Porsche 912 was introduced in 1965 as a more affordable option to the 911. It was essentially a 911 with a 4-cylinder engine instead of the 911's 6-cylinder engine. The 912 was designed to appeal to drivers who appreciated the performance and handling of the 911 but were looking for a more affordable option.

Despite the smaller engine, the 912 had many of the same features as the 911, including disc brakes and independent suspension. It was also lighter than the 911, which made it more nimble and agile.

The Porsche 912 quickly gained a following among enthusiasts who appreciated its handling and performance, as well as its more affordable price tag. Today, the 912 is highly sought after by collectors and enthusiasts, and is considered a classic Porsche model. And as the owners know 912 will out handle any 911 of the era.
