General description : VW 1600 TL im gepflegten Zustand
Der Typ 3 ist ein PKW-Modell von Volkswagen, das es als Limousine mit Stufen- sowie Schrägheck (TL, stand für Touren-Limousine) und als Kombi (Variant) gab.
Es war zudem das erste Mittelklasse-Modell von VW, wobei er, ähnlich wie der Käfer, in Abmessungen und Neupreis eher eine Klasse tiefer einzuordnen ist, jedoch wegen des vergleichsweise großen Hubraums zur Mittelklasse gezählt wird.
