Allerede tilbage i 1957 blev den første håndbyggede P1800 bygget, Men pga. manglende produktions kapacitet på fabrikken i Sverige måtte der gå en del år før modellen blev til virkelighed - Volvo var derfor rundt hos diverse karrosseri byggere men een efter een blev de sorteret fra pga. Volvo's tiltro til samle kvaliteten - til sidst faldt valget dog på Jensen Motorcars i England som var kendt som en producent af sportsvogne i høj kvalitet. Derefter blev de første serieproducerede biler først vist på Brussels Motor Show i januar 1960 og de første biler blev leveret i slutningen af samme år. Der blev ialt bygget 6000 biler ( denne har stelnr. 4282 ) indtil 1963 i England hvorefter produktion blev flyttet tilbage til Sverige da fabrikken i mellemtiden var blevet udbygget. Bilen er tidligere restaureret både kosmetisk og mekanisk og fremstår kun med lidt brugspatina som det er normalt for en bil fra den alder, Flot farvekombination hvor de beige lædersæder er et flot match til den dybrøde lak, Ring gerne for yderligere info
