Volvo P210 Duett 1957

General description : This 1957 Volvo PV445 is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. The PV 445 or Duet was produced by Volvo with the intent to be used as a delivery vehicle during the week and a comfortable sleek sedan on the weekends. Although the styling was based on the 444/544 sedan which were unibody design the Duet was a full frame vehicle. This example was built with a Hotrod approach with the looks of a 57 Volvo but the heart of a powerful V8. The two-tone paint is slick and gives the car a custom look without going over the top. The chromed luggage rack on top goes well with the overall theme. The custom wheels are a nice touch while hinting towards whats under the hood. Naturally a V8 is what this thing needed but you can just put a small block American motor in this thing. Having that said a Range Rover engine was sourced and built using some aftermarket parts. The end product is a rather powerful European V8. The transmission choice was obvious with the 4l60 being a readily available OD transmission that mates up to the engine with very little fab work. The rear end was donated from a 01 Blazer giving this PV a decent gear for highway cruising. The stopping aspect of things are taken care of by a set of Volvo retro front disc while back has the s10s setup. The handling is taken care of through a set of Pro Shocks upfront and adjustable coil overs out back. This allows you to tune the handling and ride to your liking. The interior of this custom VOLVO compliments the outside perfectly. The bucket seats are comfortable with a modern look while the cargo area has that classic feel. The wood slats are a great accent and really add that vintage charm. If you are looking for something thats fun to drive while being unique this Volvo fits the bill. Options on this 1957 Volvo P445 include, Cloth Interior and Custom Wheels with Radial Tires.
