Volvo PV444 1957

General description : De Volvo PV444 the successor to the PV50 was in production from 1944 to 1958 and was inspired by the American models of the day. In Holland and Belgium the car was dubbed the ‘Kattenrug’ which roughly translated means humpback. This car is one of later 444’s from 1957.This Swedish supplied car when new has retained its Swedish registration to this day. The last owner had the car from 2008 on. Naturally, the Swedes always having been very proud of Volvo’s durability, it is no surprise that the car is in a very good condition. A few years ago the car was mechanically overhauled and restored. The fine bodywork has nice and well aligned body panels. The underbody is rust-free and sound. The brightwork has been very well looked after. The interior is wonderful! The B16 has been correctly maintained and runs nicely. The original owner’s manual (in Swedish) still forms part of the overall package. In short, this is a fine and well maintained Volvo reasonably priced!
