Sensational 1962 Austin Healey 3000 Mark II BT7 Roadster
The next amazing classic up for grabs in our Fairfield showroom is this gorgeous 1962 Austin Healey 3000 Mark II BT7 2 Door Roadster with Old English White exterior paint and a beautiful red leather interior.  You’ll find a factory correct 3.0L six-cylinder engine under the hood with triple draft carburetors, front disc brakes, an AM radio, a vinyl convertible top and the matching 4-speed manual overdrive transmission.  This desirable British roadster has a mere 26,000 miles on the rebuilt factory drivetrain and it is in very nice overall condition as an original California black plate vehicle.
Enjoyed by Current Owner in Bay Area Since April of 1967
The current owner of this 1962 Austin Healey 3000 Mark II BT7 Roadster is the 2nd to enjoy it and he purchased it all the way back on April 22nd, 1967.  As a serious enthusiast, this roadster was proudly in the Golden Gate Austin Healey Club for most of its life and the current owner has kept this beauty almost 100% original through the years.  The factory drivetrain was fully restored in 2014 and this Black Plate vehicle starts easily and drives exactly as it should.  With impressive acceleration and very nice handling, you’ll instantly understand why the current owner has driven it another 26k miles over the past five years.
In terms of condition, this 1962 Austin Healey 3000 BT7 Roadster has excellent body lines, exterior paint and trim work to match the virtually flawless engine compartment.  The interior has not been restored and appears in typical driver quality with a nice patina to the leather seating and other imperfections.  Overall, its well above and beyond similar examples you’d find in this price range simply because of the excellent originality and five decades of proper maintenance.  There’s simply no guesswork involved since we know essentially the entire life history of this classic roadster.
