Description : Gateway Classic Cars of Chicago is proud to present this 1965 Austin Healy Mini Cooper. This right hand drive Mini is an absolute riot to speed around town thanks to a rev-happy 1275cc inline 4-cylinder. Though it doesn't make a lot of horsepower, the low weight of around 1300lbs means it still has plenty of pep. the 4-speed manual transmission gives positive feedback as you cycle through the gears, and the engine loves to scream all the way to redline. the Austin started life as a left hand drive import model and spent its earlier life in California. It was only transported to the midwest in the last few years after the transformation to a right hand drive Cooper S tribute was completed. A performance header and twin-carburetor set up helps put a little more "oomph" into this little pocket rocket. Anyone driving this would be hard-pressed to stop yourself from smiling constantly. The Mini was repainted this beautiful silver with a black roof, and the interior was completely gone through with an updated interior, a John Cooper Works steering wheel, and a set of recovered Recaro seats in the front. A Chrome roll bar in the interior adds to the racecar feel you get while pushing the tachometer to the redline. Take this Mini for a spin and have the time of your life!
