Here we have a 1968 Buick Riviera for sale. This is a stunning car that is a true 1 owner vehicle that has documentation going to when it was bought new. We were told it has 1 repaint and it's clear that the previous owner loved and cared for it from the time it was bought new. The body on it is nothing short of amazing as all the panels are rock solid and laser straight. We can see the body lines flow flawlessly down the sides from front to rear. It has had a repaint but was redone in the factory Dark Olive Gold Metallic paint that has been kept polished to a mirror finish. The dark olive is accented by the factory optioned Avocado vinyl top that's in excellent condition. All the side trim and molding look to be original and is beautiful as well. One of the most iconic design features that was new in '68 was the loop style bumpers that the dramatic lines and surrounded the taillights out back and the hidden headlights up front that are working in this Riviera. All the glass in this Buick is equally impressive with the side glass going up and down with ease. The stainless and trim on it all has a brilliant shine from the vinyl top to the belt molding. To finish off the look it's sitting on the factory style 15” wheels with Goodyear white line tires.
Next, we will look at the interior of this '68. On the inside it looks to be mostly original and has been phenomenally cared for. It's done in the classic black that provides a beautiful compliment to the exterior color combo. The door panels are all in great condition and we can see that it comes with the Power Windows that are all working along with having the remote driver outside mirror. It features the front split bench seat with the fold down center. Both the front and rear seat covers are in great condition along with all the padding and springs. Looking at the dash we can see that it all looks stock. The gauges are beautiful and working as they should. It still has the sonomatic radio along with having the 8 Track under the dash and the tissue holder. This is an automatic on the column car and it also comes with tilt wheel and the factory steering wheel. Inside the trunk is all rock solid and it still has the factory insert with the spare tire covers and the jack instructions.
Finally, we will get to the driveline of this Buick. Under the hood it's powered by the matching numbers 430 V8 engine. It's detailed out like it would have been from the factory and we can see that the inner fenders and firewall are all rock solid. The 430 is set up with the factory intake and 4-barrel carb that dressed in the factory air cleaner. It also has the factory valve covers that are painted engine color. This Riviera comes with Factory A/C along with having Power Steering and Power Brakes with drums all around. The 430 V8 is mated to the Super Turbine 400 Transmission and 10 bolt rear end. When you look under it, we can see that the frame and floors pans are all rock solid with no signs of abuse or damage. All the bushings are in great condition as well. On the highway it runs and drivers phenomenal. It handles with ease and stops straight. Don't miss out on this 1 owner Riviera that you are sure to love.
