There has never been any other car quite like a 1960's Cadillac. The Deville series started in 1959 as coupe and sedan trims alongside the long-running Series 62 and Eldorado models. By 1961 The DeVille was in its second generation, and its looks would continue to change throughout the years. By the generation's final model year of '64, the rear wings were much smaller. They appeared sharper yet subtle when compared to the late 50's styling. The general shape of the car was less bubbly and more angular, with crease-like body lines running along the top of the doors. The front grill was more convex, and the sail panel more rectangular. All very beautiful styling cues that continued to keep Cadillac at the peak of American luxury.
This 1964 Sedan DeVille has all the right specs. The metallic blue exterior suits the car very well, and is sparkles just right in the sun. The paint appears to be in very nice shape, as does the interior. The dash is blue, the seats are blue, the carpet is blue... its a whole lotta blue. You'll feel transported right into the 60's when you take a seat inside. Turn the ignition and you'll feel that 7L V8 motor begin to rumble. This '64 truly is a beautiful example of peak mid-century luxury.
