This is already a great price for a 1984 Chevrolet Blazer K5 4x4, and that's before you checked out the cool custom paint, upgraded off-road suspension, and upgraded V8 power.
This Blazer has an instant presence. Sure, these have a beefy/blocky stance right from the factory, but you can see there was a solid investment amplifying every bit of its aggression. This starts with the custom blue and silver paint package. It has a terrific metallic glow that instantly grabs attention. Adding to this shiny intimidation is the billet grille, chrome bumpers, wide trailer mirrors, fender trim, and big 18-inch Cattivo wheels. Plus, the dual cowl hood hints at some extra power in the engine bay... but more on that in a moment.
Bucket seats and a center console are factory features that make you love these full-size Blazers. It only gets better with upgrades like the Kenwood AM/FM/CD stereo and grippy sports steering wheel. Plus, you have power locks and provisions for great features like air conditioning and power windows. But the real reason why you're attracted to this interior is the freedom it gives you. The convertible rear top folds down for a great open air experience. The added roll bar has even been painted in the exterior's metallic blue to give the full package a terrific uniform presentation.
The theme of valuable upgrades continues under the hood. You're looking at a 350 cubic-inch crate motor – making it stronger and fresher than the original V8. It also inhales deeper with an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor and Edelbrock Performer RPM intake. The V8 exhales with authority from headers that add even more power as they contribute to the rumble of the FlowMaster dual exhaust. All that extra power and throaty sound is exactly what you want when it's time for going off-road. In fact, you might have noticed that this one has additional 4x4 prowess thanks to plenty of extra ground clearance. Backing that up is a two-speed transfer case, 4-Wheel Parts differentials, Nitto Terra Grappler tires, and Auburn locker rear end with a 4.56 ratio. But to be a true go-anywhere machine means being comfortable on the street, too. That's why you have a 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission with highway-friendly overdrive. Plus, power steering and front disc brakes are great to have on the street or trail.
