Chevrolet C15 LS1 V8 1966

Allgemeine Beschreibung : SUPER SLICK LS1 & T-56 SWAP, NO LIMITS SUSPENSION, INCREDIBLY SLICK PAINT, SWEET

This incredible 1966 Chevrolet C10 pickup defies all the trends, combining the classic good looks of a restored truck, the performance of a pro-touring machine, and the comfort of a modern pickup. It's perhaps the nicest mid-60s Chevy pickup we've ever seen and it gets every single detail exactly right.
The paint is brilliant Fire Red Pearl from Aston Martin and looks absolutely stunning on the full-sized hauler. It was treated to a frame-off restoration to the very highest standards, and only on a build like this will you find this kind of quality. The door handles were shaved, the power antenna was neatly frenched into the bodywork, and the fuel filler door was moved to the side of the bed, giving the truck a sleek, smooth look that keeps it subtle. Fit and finish are show quality, with tight gaps that are all the more impressive given the fact that these trucks were none too good coming out of the factory. The unique flying buttress cab was retained, one of the C10's more distinctive styling elements, and the rear end was cleaned up with a custom faired-in roll pan. A smooth hard-shell tonneau cover transforms the oak-lined bed into the world's largest weather-tight trunk and the tailgate is beautifully finished with neat CHEVROLET block letters across its face. And in the old-school spirit, even the grille and front bumper were painted white, just as they would have been in 1965, further blending the lines between restoration and resto-mod.
The interior is equally exceptional, offering leather-lined bucket seats from a late-model GM pickup that include integrated 3-point seat belts. The lovely tobacco-colored upholstery continues onto the center console, lower dash, headliner, and door panels, making this truck feel very upscale inside. The original dash has been reworked to handle a custom billet aluminum insert and handsome gauges from Classic Instruments, but it's still recognizable, just like the exterior. Features like A/C and a Pioneer touch-screen entertainment system with navigation and Sirius XM with a lifetime subscription make this a very easy truck to love and yes, that's a Hurst manual shifter for the Tremec T56 6-speed manual gearbox underneath. The lovely two-tone steering wheel is a twist on the factory look of the early '60s but with a fatter rim and small diameter, all perched on a tilt steering column. It's really impressive.
The spec sheet for the running gear reads more like a late-model Camaro than a vintage pickup, starting with a neatly-installed LS1 V8 engine from a late-model GTO, complete with factory fuel injection. It's wearing custom coil covers that dress up the engine bay, but the overall fit and finish look a lot like an OEM design. A big aluminum radiator, neatly run wiring and plumbing, and a dual reservoir power brake master cylinder for the 4-wheel disc brakes are all professionally installed. Custom stainless steel headers dump into a fabricated exhaust system that tucks neatly into the frame for excellent ground clearance and a great sound. The front suspension is A-arms and rack-and-pinion steering, while the stock rear suspension needed no help, since it came from the factory with smooth-riding coil springs. That rear end is a Ford 8.8-inch with 3.73 gears inside and all the shocks are trick QA1 adjustable units. It's got an awesome stance and the powdercoated steel wheels and dog dish hubcaps nail the old school pickup truck look. Staggered BFG redline radials add a nostalgic look that works exceptionally well here.
Beautifully built, this incredible resto-mod pickup delivers on every level. If you've longed for a vintage truck that handles like a modern muscle car and looks like a million bucks, well, we've never seen one better than this. Call now!
