You can't go wrong with a handsome older pickup in traditional colors, but this 1965 Chevrolet C10 is actually a wolf in sheep's clothing. The lovely two-tone paint is low-key, but the lowered stance and rally wheels are there for a reason. There's some added bark and bite to this shiny Chevy.
A clean old pickup in classic colors and wearing a fleetside bed always makes for an appealing package. The two-tone light blue with white accents is just perfect on a vehicle from the mid-60s. Finish quality is quite nice, with good gaps, smooth panels, and an overall look of quality. The finish shines beautifully, and they kept the wonderful details that make these trucks special. With all that intricate trim, big chrome bumpers, and wide grille, these pickups have as much appeal as a '65 Impala – and that sedan doesn't come with a gorgeous real wood truck bed!
The blue and white them continues on the inside, too. You get a beautiful custom bench seat that looks fantastic, and since it's vinyl, any spills on the pristine white area clean up in a snap. The door panels are also two-tone, and that makes a nice transition to the all-white dash. You get a cool three-spoke Chevy sports steering wheel with wood trim, which is you first interior hint at this truck's performance nature. Beyond that is the original gauge pack and an auxiliary readouts underneath (your second sporty hint.) Now turn the key...that will confirm there is something big living under the hood.
All those 350 callouts on this pickup are a fib...It's larger! Under the hood is actually a 400 cubic-inch small-block V8. Beyond its show-ready appearance with tidy hoses, bright yellow wires, and shiny air cleaner and valve covers, this motor is built to run. The four-barrel carburetor feeds a Holley Street Dominator intake. That provides plenty of additional power to give this pickup enough to surprise a few on the streets...that is if they don't hear the rumble of the dual exhaust first. This aggressive image is balanced with the everyday comfort of the TH350 three-speed automatic transmission, smooth power steering, front disc brakes, and the C10's sought-after trailing arm rear suspension.
