Sure, you could just look at this 1969 Chevrolet C10 as an affordable vintage pickup with super-straight panels and iconic paint. But once you get behind the wheel, the freshly rebuilt V8 and upgraded suspension will make you realize how much of a great driver this Chevy really is.
Hugger Orange is a favorite iconic GM color. It's not just a cool name, but it the shade just represents a take-charge attitude that ensures this truck will never fly under the radar. But there's style in this intimidation. It starts with the custom taillights and headlights, including the cool halo glow up front. Plus, those massive 20-inch DUB six-point chrome alloy wheels give you a bold custom truck profile. In the bed the black coating combined with the new oak bed floor make for a great appearance that strikes a balance between getting down to business and looking fantastic on the job.
Inside, this pickup is a great mix of original elegance with plenty of upgrades for more modern style and comfort. The dash and doors have been painted the same iconic exterior orange. The black bench and door panels do a great job of coordinating with this thanks to custom orange stitching (you know everyone will love that intricate detail at the car shows!) You'll slip behind the aftermarket steering wheel that provides much more chrome than the original, and the wood rim is a nice upgrade from stock. From behind this wheel, the driver has the comfort of a tilt column, a full set of factory gauges, and the addition of a SunPro tach. Plus, if you're a truck person, you already spotted the comfort that comes from vent windows and sliding rear glass.
A vehicle that's been this custom inside and out will, of course, have something special in the engine bay. Most of the remote features have been painted black so that you can really focus on the custom Hugger Orange block and matching Edelbrock valve covers. The rest of the setup, including the air grabber, pulleys, and headers have a great show-worthy shine. But behind the flash is some great substance like the Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor and long tube headers for added performance, as well as an aluminum radiator w/electric fans for everyday usability. Best of all, there are only about 50 miles on this motor since it was rebuilt. Sure this Chevy makes a fierce sound out of the dual exhaust (or even more intimidating out of the cutouts,) but this beast has a tamer side. Not only are these C10s favored for their trailing arm rear suspension, but also you'll also spot in the undercarriage shots plenty of upgrades like the new bushiness up front. It has all of this plus great anytime driving features like the TH350 three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, and the modern grip of Goodyear Eagle tires at all four corners.
