This American muscle convertible is iconic in all the right places, and upgraded exactly where you want it. After all, everyone loves the design of a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro convertible, and this one also has a modern fuel-injected V8, six-speed stick shift, A/C interior, and plenty more to create the ideal restomod.
There's just something special about a 1st generation Camaro convertible. It has been upgraded to that iconic front end that hides the headlights behind stylized Rally Sport panels until they are needed (Detroit Speed electric headlight motors.) We love how the electronic folding roof keeps out the elements until you want sunny day cruising. It also doesn't hurt that this one has a killer paint package. The modern charcoal shines fantastically on this exceptionally straight body. It also is the perfect hue to coordinate with the main trim such as the black hockey stick stripe on the fenders, blacked-out grille, and black roof. This one also gets the sporty details you really want correct, like the deep chin spoiler, cowl induction hood, and full-width duck tail spoiler. Chrome is used sparingly so the bright details really stand out against all this darkness in places like the mirror-like bumpers and the upgraded Boyd Coddington 17-inch wheels.
If you liked how the black accents looked against the exterior charcoal, then you'll love the black interior even more. There has been a solid investment here so everything is dark, crisp, and detail-oriented (the fresh bucket seats even retain the deluxe button-top design.) But there have also been the right upgrades to make this a comfortable cruiser, including a cup holder center console and an AM/FM/CD stereo. Plus, this has modern R134a air conditioning to keep you feeling as cool as you look with the top down. Of course, the best pieces are reserved just for the driver. You get an upgraded Budnik steering wheel, and beyond that is a full set of upgraded AutoMeter Phantom gauges. By now you have noticed the chrome gearshift, but have you counted the gears yet? From the moment you pop the hood, everyone knows why this is a true restomod. You get modern 5.7-liter LS1 power. This fuel-injected V8 is already an amazing driving upgrade, but they didn't stop there. It has all the right supporting components, like a new electric fuel pump, new fuel tank, and a Be Cool aluminum radiator. Plus, long tube headers enhance the performance while also adding an excellent rumble out of the dual exhaust. You are in complete control over this modern V8 and its thunderous soundtrack thanks to the T56 six-speed manual transmission. This feeds a stout Johns Industries 9-inch Ford rear end. To make sure the driving experience feels completely upgraded, you have an upgraded front end with tubular control arms, power steering, Wilwood four-wheel disc brakes (drilled & slotted calipers), and the modern grip of Goodyear Eagle LS tires.
