Chevrolet Camaro 1969

Allgemeine Beschreibung : A new year often inspires thoughts about the future. Planning, resolutions and idealizing what should be instead of optimizing what is. But whatever happened to the 'here and now'? You know, living in the moment and enjoying what we have as opposed to fighting for constant betterment and forever prolonging joy. So many enthusiasts are enthralled with owning the biggest, baddest and awesome-est garage trophy that they completely lose sight of the reason they fell in love with cars in the first place. Have you ever met any seasoned gearhead who reminisces about huge residuals or plastic trophies? That's why cars like this sweet '69 Camaro tend to leave our showroom almost as fast as they arrive. Sure, it's a stellar classic that wears a sorted, professional restoration. And yes, we're willing to bet it'll build some value and grab a few trophies. But it's also the kind of car you buy because you actually enjoy working on, driving in, and playing with Detroit's finest metal. So, if you've been nodding in agreement with everything mentioned, this choice Chevy belongs in your garage! TIME TO TURN HEADS Fully sorted and ready to rock, this awesome Camaro rolled out of a detailed, professional restoration as a curve-carving beast that virtually craves Goodguys AutoCross competition! Timeless aesthetics kick off with slick PPG Lemans Blue paint that been buried in six coats of clear. At the front of that ceramic-coated pigment, a polished bumper splits a shaved grille, Marquez Design parking lamps, a requisite chin spoiler and LED Anvil Auto headlights that are hidden by Detroit Speed Rally Sport doors. Opposite those torches, a Camaro-branded header leads a short Cowl Induction Hood, which fronts stainless-trimmed glass that's cleared by 7-speed Detroit Speed wipers. At the sides of those blades, a striped profile plants traditional mirrors and factory door handles between flowing Camaro scripts, optional quarter louvers and tasteful rocker trim. And, opposite those painted ribbons, a second polished bumper frames a second spoiler, aftermarket taillights and a custom LSX valance emblem. LS + X Speaking of LSX, enact this Chevy's muted Ringbrothers hood supports and you'll find 454 cubic inches of Chevrolet Performance LSX small block that's wedged between a smoothed firewall and exquisite Anvil Auto carbon fiber fenders. Straight from the General, this exclusive package utilizes a tough iron block, a forged 4340 crank, forged 4340 rods, forged aluminum pistons and a hydraulic roller cam to turn stout 11 to 1 compression into 627 horsepower and 586 lb./ft. of pavement-slaying torque! At the front of the mill, remote K&N filters funnel wind through satin tubes that are cinched to custom carbon fiber air boxes. Those boxes feed Harrop's race-inspired Hurricane intake, which is bolted to aluminum LSX-LS7 heads that are finished with spry roller lifters. Beneath those heads, Ultimate Headers, specifically tailored to the car's Speedtech front-clip, frame thick Taylor ThunderVolt 50 wires. In front of those tubes, a Jones Racing Products pulley spins quick PSC power steering beside an ATI Super Damper, a low-mount alternator and a small AC compressor. Cooling is provided by a large Griffin radiator, which cycles fluid around two SPAL puller fans, an integrated oil cooler and a fabricated catch can. Everything communicates well thanks to Speartech engine management and American Autowire wiring. First class detailing includes a Ringbrothers clutch cylinder, a Wilwood master cylinder, trick dipsticks and trick fender bars. And a cool dash of style comes courtesy of fully finished heads that appear to wear GM Cyber Gray Metallic 2-stage. PERFORMANCE WITH EASE Behind the potent engine, a tough RAM throwout bearing kicks a dual-disc McLeod RST clutch, which jerks a close-ratio Tremec T56 Magnum 6-speed. That gearbox makes excellent use of a balanced, steel driveshaft to twist a vented Strange 9-inch that's stuffed with a posi-traction differential, 4.10 gears, 35-spline axles and Ford Timken bearings. Those axles roll on a triangulated Ridetech 4-link that's finished with double-adjustable coil-over-shocks. That clip pushes a Speedtech extReme front-half, which wraps an adjustable sway bar around two more Ridetech double-adjustable coil-overs. That chassis is solidified by sturdy Hotchkis subframe connectors, which parallel a modified transmission tunnel and quality Detroit Speed mini tubs. Turns come courtesy of athletic power rack-and-pinion steering. Stops are provided by 14-inch drilled and slotted rotors, which are clamped 4 and 6-piston Wilwood Superlites. Three-inch, TIG-welded stainless funnels spent gases through rowdy Magnaflow mufflers. A steady stream of fossils is supplied by Detroit Speed Vaporworx fuel technology, which modulates an 800-1,000 horsepower CTS-V pump inside a narrowed Rick's stainless tank. And at the corners, forged Formula 43 wheels carry 295/30ZR18 front and 335/30ZR18 rear Michelin Pilot Sports. RIDE WITH PRECISION Open the doors and you'll find a purposeful custom interior that was installed by the folks at Middletown, New York's Gillin Auto Interiors. In addition to wrapping four-point Schroth Racing harnesses around BMW leather, the car's custom bucket seats have enough travel to comfortably accommodate a 6'4' driver who's wearing a helmet. In front of those thrones, a Detroit Speed dash centers a digital gear display amid custom Speedhut telemetry, which caps Vintage Air conditioning and ZL1 pushbutton ignition. Rich Mercedes carpet floats a custom console that's finished with an S1 Sequential shifter and GT40-style toggles for Nu Relics windows and Modo Innovations door locks. Custom side panels frame a removable crossbar that's complete with an H3R quick connect fire extinguisher. An Alcantera headliner shades a trick mirror that doubles as a backup camera. The driver spins a wrapped Grip Royal steering wheel around Speartech Cruise Control and a modern, tilting column. Audio is top notch, with a Bluetooth Polk head unit feeding a 10-inch subwoofer and four 6.5-inch Rockford Fosgate speakers. And cool details include metal foot pedals, machined door pulls, Anvil Auto carbon fiber sill plates and Digital Guard Dawg Remote Keyless Entry. Is there a better way to enjoy a warm Summer day than behind the wheel of a sweet '60s muscle car? With sublime LS power, a seriously athletic suspension and a thoughtfully upgraded interior, this fully sorted pro-tourer is infinitely stylish and everyday reliable.
