Allgemeine Beschreibung : For sale at Gateway Classic Cars in our St. Louis showroom is a 1999 Chevrolet Corvette. 1999 is the third year for the redesigned C5 Corvette and was a night and day difference from the outgoing C4. One of the best upgrades that improved handling was a rear transaxle. This moved the transmission to the rear of the car for superior weight balance from front to rear. The car was also lower, wider and longer. Power was from a state of the art LS1 V8 producing 345 horsepower. Shifting was accomplished by a new overdrive automatic. Heads up Display was also introduced in the new C5 and would display information onto the windshield such as speed, RPMs and fuel economy. This beautiful Red over Black leather coupe has 76,467 miles, has a clean history report. This one is equipped with the optional removable Targa top that stows nicely in the rear compartment for simple fun in the sun!
