Allgemeine Beschreibung : 1972 Chevrolet Corvette This is the real deal! A numbers matching 1972 Corvette complete with t-tops ready for summer cruising. This car was kept in a heated garage since 1983 and has never been driven in the rain. It is super clean with no rust underneath at all. This beautiful 1972 LS5 Corvette Stingray is powered by the original, legendary and rebuilt LS5 454ci V-8 engine with performance cam coupled to an automatic 3-speed transmission. It gets the power to the ground through the stock POSI-traction rear-end. There is just no mistaking the big power and rumble from a big block that’s serenading through a new ALUMINIZED dual exhaust system. The clutch fan has been removed cleaning up the engine bay and replaced with a new aluminum radiator with dual electric fans keeps it cool no matter what the driving conditions are…be it highway, stop and go traffic or waiting in line for your favorite cruise-in/show. The correct Rochester Q- jet 4-barrel with 2 snorkel GM air cleaner and chrome distributor cover keep the stock appearance. It is also equipped with a Petronix electronic ignition, new gas tank, chambered exhaust, new tires on the stock wheels, new battery and full front/rear alignment. Everything on the car works and it drives like new! The exterior is in good condition with no cracks in the fiberglass or damage to the body. It has been driven and has some chips and nicks in the paint and it is a little faded from age. It does have the correct Sunflower Yellow paint and had a respray many years ago. It looks incredible from 5 feet but to be pristine it could use a new coat. We can do this at the body shop for a discounted rate as part of the sale if desired. Make no mistake, the car still looks great and is ready to roll as it is and the discounted price reflects the paint. It has the original t-tops complete with covers and the removable rear window. The chrome hood vents, rear window vent and fender vents are also all new. The headlights work flawlessly and smoothly. Although the 1972 did not come with a passenger side mirror, one has been added for better visibility in traffic. It is an extremely solid car with no hidden issues. The interior is really in great condition for being 42 years old. The car has the saddle color interior that shows it has been garaged it’s entire life with little or no fading. There is some slight wear on the driver’s seat that can be easily repaired if you desired to do so. It is equipped with rare FACTORY air conditioning, power windows, power locks and an aftermarket cruise control system by CTV Corvetteworks. It also has a retro-look Bluetooth/iPod stereo, quartz clock, new speakers front and rear soundbar, new power antenna and custom floor mats with logo embroidered floor mats. The ‘Vette comes with a huge documentation packet that includes an owners manual and even a new C3 Large Black Stingray jacket comes with the car! The level of appeal on an original LS5 454 car has never strayed and this will make an excellent addition to any collection or as a driveable investment.
