This is a great year for brightwork with a good shine on the bumpers, trim, and side vents. Even the details are nice, like the optional luggage rack on the back and the redline tires that looks so cool against the paint.
As distinct as this one looks with the roof in place, a convertible is always better with the top down. The red interior is the factory-correct color, and so this was ordered from day one to be a full red-blooded American classic. This was the larger-power optional small block for '69, and so it offers a nice balance of power and weight. That makes for a classic that's ideal to take out for a drive. The numbers-matching four-speed manual transmission gives you control over the V8, and the fully independent suspension give you control over the road. And the power steering and four-wheel power disc brakes make the whole experience effortless.
