Chevrolet El Camino 350 V8 1976

Allgemeine Beschreibung : 1976 Chevrolet El Camino With the success of the Ford Ranchero, Chevrolet had to respond with a design of their own.  What was born was the classic El Camino that actually outlasted Ford in production.  The line was eliminated from Chevrolet in 1987 but the popularity of these cars continue and people around the world are still creating custom truck conversions in its honor even today.  This 1976 El Camino Classic belongs to the fourth generation which continued to base the car truck combo off of Chevelles with a station wagon chassis.  This is a very nice example of a survivor car as it has only racked up 44,554 original miles in its entire lifetime and has remained in 1 family since new.  It was purchased new in Alabama and spent a majority of its life there until being relocated to Texas.  Everything on the truck has been kept stock with little to no aftermarket parts added.  The only case where a non original part may have been installed would be something like the hoses or belts for normal maintenance.  A notable change for 76 was that the Classic edition received the new quad rectangle headlights that other high end GMs were rolling around with.  These were not applied to the base model.  The body of this car is painted Blue and is very solid as is the floors and trunk pan.  All of the factory chrome, trim, emblems, etc are all still there and mounted in their original positions.  It even still rides on its original wheels and hubcaps with Chevrolet bowtie centers.  One look at the bed and it is clear it has been taken care of.  It is pretty common to look at an unrestored truck and see all sorts of dings and scratches in the bed paint because they were typically used for work.  That isn't the case here because the bed is free of all that.  Under the hood is the original 350 motor that starts up and runs well.  It doesn't smoke or have any issues.  Everything is very original under the hood and even still has things like the "Keep your GM car all GM" sticker holding on the air cleaner which are cool little features to see.  The transmission is the original 3 speed Turbo Hydramatic that shifts smoothly.  Other nice features include the power brakes and power steering which are nice options to have.   The interior is done in the matching Blue and the upholstery has held up very well.  The seats don't sag, the headliner is tight, the stitching is good which are all things great to see when looking at a survivor car like this. The dash has the all original layout with the stock gauges, push button radio, AC controls, switches and clock.  This El Camino is being offered up for the very reasonable price of $12,900.00!
